Our holiday home is situated in the heart of the Dordogne Valley, 7km outsde the beautiful market town of Sarlat. The house is well equiped and can sleep up to 4 people. The accommodation consists of a living room with small kitchen area, a bathroom with full size bath and a mezzanine area for the main double bedroom. The second sleeping area is a double sized sofa bed in the living room. Other features of the property include a private garden with small decking area, built in BBQ, private parking space, shared swimming pool and tennis court. The house is in a central location approximately 500 meters from the Dordogne river. From just outside the property there is access to a 30km long cycle path that stretches to from Sarlat to Souillac. The local village of Carsac is within a 10 minute walk and boasts excellent amenities including mini supermarket, boulongerie, post office, restaurant and bar.

Located just 7 km out of Sarlat this property is in the perfect spot for exploring the Perigord Noir. Just 500m from the Dordogne river, visitors are well placed for trying out canoeing. The property is also located on a 30km cycle path which stretches from Sarlat to Souillac with plenty of beautiful villages in between. If a less active holiday is required then there are plenty of beautiful towns and villages in the area such as the bastite town of Domme, La Roque Gageac and Beynac. The Saturday market in Sarlat is well worth a visit, followed by lunch in the main square watching the world go by.

great little place on the dordogne

We, thats Tom, Sarah and children rented this holiday home in the autumn of 2009. We found it a great value place to stay, convenient for the attractions of the dordogne valley. Castles, caves, spectacular old towns and other tourist attractions are easy to reach in the dordogne and nearby lot region, but we had great days just walking in the woods, watching wildlife, and swimming in the river and lakes. Sarlat is a fantastic old town,(good market) within bike ride range, and carsac and grolejac have enough to keep you going for two or three days without getting in the car. The river is 2 minutes away on a footpath. Our recommendations are domme, a canoe trip, rocmadour, and the best castle in the world, castlenaud. The property itself was clean, everything worked, and theres a biggish sunny garden to lounge about in in the evening. We loved it and will return. Tom.

Honey moon in October

What a fantastic place. The house was lovely; the location was beautiful; and the lifestyle was fantastic.

The house was clean and tidy. Everything was simple to find and use. It felt private as if your own home. It had a wonderful tennis court and all the desciptions on the webiste of it were accurate and complete.

The owner was fantastic to us. He was clear and quick to repond to any enquiries we had. He even left us a honey moon gift which was very generous.

On honey moon with my wife we spent time relaxing in nature whilst canoeing, enjoying a day in some magnificent caves and seeing some amazing cave paintings. We visited some beautiful villages and anticipate returning to see and do many of the natural and man made, adventurous and relaxing attractions that the Dordogne offers.
Seasonally, we visited in October - The sun still shone though it started to get a little colder and a few of the smaller sites were starting to close, but the main attractions were open and there were very few other tourists to share the sites with which made it feel more private and nicer. Fantastic time of year for us as we prefer milder temperatures.

Our stay in your house was wondeful.
We enjoyed a lot our stay. We found all we want in the house. It's true taht it is small but sufficient for holidays.
The 'Dordogne' is wonderful.
We done a lot of thins : caves, canoes......
The swimming pool is very nice

small but perfect!!!!!!!!!

just returned after spending a wonderful fortnight in carsac in this lovely little villa! Yes it is small but it has everything you could possibly want. It was clean and the beds were all made for us on arrival as we were arriving late. The pool is beautiful and well maintained as was the tennis court and the kids (12 and 8) loved them both.
The area is gorgeous with lots to do and see, the wine as cheap and the weather was brill, even the thunder storms were
entertaining and exhilarating!!!!!!!!
we all thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks in the dordogne and can't recommend it enough
