San Gimignano holiday villa

When we arrived at the property we were extremely impressed. It was even more lovelier than the photos depicted. The house is fully enclosed and private. The grounds are really well kept and the garden areas lovely. The swimming pool is in a lovely position, secluded yet enjoying pretty views. The description of the property was accurate in every detail. The house itself was spotlessly clean and all the facilitites were in excellent condition. As its on three floors, there is plenty of room to be together yet a lot of space for a quiet read. The ouside terrace is a joy, plently of garden furniture and a large barbecue. The owners on arrival were really friendly and helpful and showed us how everything worked in the house. The owner usually pops up everyday to tend to the grounds and keep the pool clean, they are careful not to disturb your privacy at all. We would certainly recommend this property to anyone. Its great for families, and friends travelling together. A good combination for a relaxing holiday yet ideally placed to visit Tuscany's sights. The main attractions that we visited were close by, we had many half days out, and spent a couple of great days in Florence and also Siena. San Gimignano is only a few minutes drive away, so ideal for easy shopping, the supermarket has everything and there are great bakerys' and plenty of restaurants to try. The town itself is medieval and very characteristic and there are plently of interesting things to see. All in all we had a great holiday, we couldn't have wished for better accomodation and with being so central we didn't have to drive huge distances to see what we wanted to and managed to get a lot of relaxation time in as well. We ate at some great local restaurants, as well as having some lovely meals and barbecues at the villa. The markets and most supermarkets sell alot of ready cooked dishes, which are superb and time saving. We sinecerly hope to return soon.
