Beside Marldon there is the village and ancient castle of Berry Pomeroy. Not far is the Market town of Totnes that has Thursday Elizabethan parades, Friday and Saturday weekly markets and is swamped with fine food shops and great restaurants. Not far from these towns are the devon coastal villages of Dartmouth ,Salcombe & Kingsbridge. These villages are famous for their sailing ships and regattas which occur throuout the summer.
