Mas des Trois Fontaines is a large and beautiful 18th century farmhouse situated about 20 minutes from Nîmes, the Pont du Gard, Arles, Uzès and Avignon. Easily accessed by motorway & local airports (Nimes Airport 20 mins) and TGV stations (Nîmes and Avignon 25 min). The property offers around 500m² of living space (entirely restored) including magnificent vaulted living room, large dining room with open fireplace, TV room, 8 lovely bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, kitchen with dining area and games room. Surrounded by vineyards and orchards, the 2,5 acre garden provides very old trees and is crossed by a small stream running through a beautiful stone canal (secured). The swimming pool, protected with an alarm, is surrounded by a paved terrace and close to a pool house allowing outside dining.

The Mas is close to many places of historical and touristic interest to visit: 11 miles to famous Pont du Gard, 19 miles to Uzès, the oldest duchy in France, 11 miles to Nîmes with its best preserved Roman Arena, 16 miles to Avignon’s City of Popes. Arles and its beautiful Roman Arena and ruins are 16 miles from the Mas. The hill top fortress of Les Baux de Provence is 25 miles away from Jonquières and the Saintes Maries de-la-Mer beaches 36 miles away. On your way to the Saintes Maries de la Mer, you will discover the Camargue and its “Reserve Naturelle” (Zoological and Botanic). Horseriding and biking are the best way to admire this beautiful natural parkland with its countless flamingos and birds. Many “manades” (bull-farming) are open to visit.

This farmhouse is a real delight. All eight bedrooms are spacious and every room has a pleasant view either over the gardens and pool, rose garden or courtyard. The vaulted sitting room is stunning as is the dining room/reception area. The garden is beautiful with mature trees and beautiful shrubs. The pool is welcoming and there is plenty of space outside for 12 to eat. There is also so much space outside with plenty of sunny and shady spots, so something for everyone! The location is perfect, set back off the main road which isn't particularly busy and with Pont du Gard, Nimes and Avignon within easy reach by car, it makes a great base for exploring the Gard area. The nearest supermarket is only a 5 minute drive located on a sort of retail park and the village of Beaucaire nearby offers essential shops. There is also a go-karting circuit just down the road. If there were to be any criticism at all it would be that they could perhaps replace the kitchen appliances with more modern and up-to-date models but what there is, is perfectly adequate. I would thoroughly recommend this property for those families who are looking for a relaxing holiday by the pool but who also want activities and wishing to explore this fabulous region.
