Photos and Description of this Pollensa holiday chateau / country house

Rustic cottage in Majorcan style (simple, unpretentious), situated near the top of the Pollença's Calvary mountain, North Mallorca. The village is on the bottom of this Calvary, with disseminated houses along the slope. This property shares a short dead-end street with another one, in a quiet spot with very little traffic. It has a bedroom with 2 joinable single beds, a bathroom (shower, sink and toilet), and the kitchen-dining area is separated from the living-room by an arch. There is a patio with sun most of the day, but surrounded by trees, and other garden plants, so you can also choose the shade. In the patio there are old typical features; a Moorish style oven and an outdoor laundry sink. The cottage is located in a residential area with isolated villas. The wonderful views extend over the village to the 'Puig de María' mountain with its XIV century Monastery. The northern bays of Alcudia and Pollença are visible in the background.

Pollença is a medieval village with narrow streets around its central plaza. Tourist and locals meet each other in a relaxed ambiance. There are bar-restaurants, art-galleries, etc. On Sundays there is a popular open air market. Every summer there is an old established, and praised open air classic music/singing Festival, in the serene scenario of the Cloister. There are other musical and cultural activities permanent through the year. Port Pollença is 7 km away from a picturesque bay. It has a nice promenade by the sea, a marina, beaches and all kind of tourist resources. Cala Sant Vicenç is 6 km away and it is a smaller and more quiet resort with spectacular views and refreshing emerald waters.
