Great Holiday rental suit for everybody. It´s a comfortable and sunny apartment 50m from Matosinhos beach, best Oporto beach area. You can just relax and enjoy it or participate in local activities that are going on every day. Here is the centre of oporto social and night life, so you can find door to door lots of restaurants from grilled fresh fish to fashion and fancy restaurants, beach cafes, bars and discos.In this area a great side walk are available from here to Ribeira (approx 8km) - Oporto wine cellars and historical center. Also nearby(800m) a great green area called city park - so you can take a great walk, ride a bicycle or just relax. Also available in beach front - beach volley, beach football, surf or just a strolls with the locals. At door step there is also the tram and bus stop to the big city attractions of Porto (20m).

Great location, great flat

We spent 3 days at Joana's flat and enjoyed it very much because of Joana and Filipe's welcoming and trusting attitude, and the flat itself and the location. Rental flats are often complete barren and boring; this is not the case here: the tasteful oriental touches combined with a light IKEA style creates a personal atmosphere much liked by both adults and our 2 children. The local Matosinhos area is interesting, not least when it comes to restaurants - the vegetarian one in Joana's information pack is very good. We also recommend walking or running along the spectacular beachfront which has a sort of Californial laid-back feel to it. I ran to the mouth of the Douro, some 5 km to the south (the end of the pier there is quite an experience) , and most of the time we opted to travel by bus # 500 (stops across the street) along that route into the Ribeira of Porto. Got to be one of the world's prettiest urban bus rides! We strongly recommend this place.

Nice little apartment

Really neat apartment, clean and near by beach and stores. The apartment has everything you need, 1 bedroom and eventually 1 extra bed in the living room if necessary.

Owners are very nice people, hospitable and very friendly.

Lots to do in Oporto and Matosinhos is nice, full with restaurants where you can eat grilled fish and other nice Portuguese dishes. On sundays always free concerts in the "Casa da Musica", sometimes musicconcerts at the beach, the old city, portcellars, and much more.

There was nothing we didn't like! Worth coming back.

something for everyone

Absolutely lovely time in Joanna's apartment. It was perfect in Porto, from where we could drive to watch our son play basketball at the Euros (about 35min south from Porto) and our older son and friend found plenty of enterntainment on the beach and made friends very quickly. It's also a perfect place for a long weekend, with a tram stop nearby, and there also being one at the airport. We visited Porto and many places. Temperature perfect and nice waves on the beach. Joanna was very helpful. I've recommended the apartment already to colleagues. It was a very nice family holiday and much preferred to a hotel. There were supermarkets nearby and people there were also helpful. Definitely a find, and thanks Joanna.

comfortable apartment

We had a great time at the apartment which was very clean, welcoming and well equipped. Jo and Filipe were excellent hosts and we very much enjoyed their company, they took us to a fabulous party with their friends on the night of St Johns festival which is an unforgettable massive street party. A good base to travel into Porto town, although the metro is close by we found it easier and not much more expensive to use a taxi.Good shops nearby and a we found a good drinking and smoking bar called The Wine Bar just up the road - great staff, beer, live music and owner Rui. We found everybody very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended

Very warm people.The stay was and nice & cosy and the apartament was clean. Perfect if you have a Pet. Very close to beach. Walking distance to Porto, and it is a lovely walk.
