Hide yourself away in this idyllic 19th Century finca set in the hills of Axarquia, just forty minutes from the hustle and bustle of Malaga... A few minutes drive from the 'pueblo blanco' village of Colmenar, nestling amongst olive and almond groves, lies Tio Vicente, an attractively restored Andalucian farmhouse. Perched on a hillside, enjoying expansive views over the surrounding hills and valleys towards distant coastal mountain ranges and beyond, this peaceful haven enjoys one of the best pools in Andalucia. As you gaze over the infinity edged pool, you can almost feel yourself floating off into the valley beyond with the only disturbance being the sound of goat's bells or the occasional birdsong. The farmhouse is situated within several acres of olive and almond trees creating a very beautiful and private environment where only the soft sounds of clinking goat bells and the breeze rustling through the trees will interrupt the peace. And the house does this location proud

Tio Vicente is situated 5km from the 'pueblo blanco' village of Colmenar, the capital of Axarquia close to the Montes de Malaga National Park with the hilltop village of Comares close by. The Picasso museum in Malaga is thirty minutes away with the beaches of the Costa del Sol similar distances whilst the Arabic town of Antequeres is half an hour to the north with Granada and the Alhambra a further hour away. Day trips to the Puente de Piedra flamingo lakes, the Lobo Wolf park, the Donkey Sanctuary and the caves at Nerja are all within easy travelling distances whilst Cordoba and Seville are around two hours by car. Further afield, Gibraltar is around 2.5 hours away along with Huelva and Cadiz which are both worth a visit. Alternatively, Ronda is an hour away with its bull ring and dramatic bridge over the gorge which can be combined with visits to the National Park at El Torcal to see the eagles flying over the clifftops combined with lunch or a day out at the El Chorro lakes.

Notes: Further to the above descriptions, there is an outside seating area for alfresco dining situated next to the barbecue as well as a shaded porch at the other end of the house to escape the mid-day sun. Additionally, there is a separate utility room with an extra fridge and washing machine along with normal laundry facilities whilst below the house there is a separate parking area leading on to various pathways to enable guests to explore the almond and olive groves set amongst five acres of land.

Local Activities: Horse riding is available locally from several livery yards as well as golf courses in Antequera, Velez Malaga as well as numerous other courses along the coast or alternatively quad bike tours are available in Colmenar. There are several water parks, the nearest of which is in Velez Malaga to keep children occupied or there is a communal pool in Colmenar should you tire of the infinity pool at the property.

Restaurants: There are many local restaurants ranging in both price and quality within twenty minutes of the house, from the Fountainhead in Riogordo and the Cantueso in Periana at the top end through to the Venta de Alfarnate at Alfarnate or an excellent fish restaurant 'El Puerto' in Casabermeja - information for all of which is available at the property.
