Casa Tranquilla is the perfect holiday home for one or two discerning couples (generous discounts for 2 people) who enjoy the peace and quiet of a semi rural location yet like to be within easy reach of the many wonderful bars, restaurants and shops in the area - Javea and Denia are less than 10 mins away by car. Beach lovers will enjoy the nearby blue flag beaches and there are excellent golf courses, tennis courts etc. Situated high on the Montgo, adjoining the Natural Park, it has fantastic views and, being south facing, benefits from maximum sunshine during the winter, while in summer there is usually a welcome breeze and less humidity than on the coast. The 2 bed roomed apartment is the lower floor of an attractive villa, is completely self contained and very private and benefits from a large salt water pool, extensive terraces with plenty of shade and a pleasant garden. Javea is arguably the jewel in the crown of the Costa Blanca consisting of three distinct areas - an attractive old town, a busy working port and marina and thirdly a predominantly leisure area with a sandy Blue Flag beach. There are numerous bars and restaurants in each of the areas to suit all tastes and pockets plus an excellent market weekly market. There are also rocky coves to explore and a marine reserve. The countryside is green and pleasant with oranges and vines and the backdrop of mountains is stunning. Summer time is Fiesta time in Javea and the surrounding towns and villages while day trips to Valencia and Alicante, both historically interesting and vibrant cities, are worthwhile. Benidorm, only 40 minutes away, boasts extensive sandy beaches and an attracive old town popular with older Spanish holiday makers. Terra Mitica theme park, Aqualandia and a zoo park are also in Benidorm. Javea is blessed by a gentle maritime climate with sunny, mild winters and long summers.

  • Both bathrooms are modern and tiled throughout. Please note that bathroom 2 is very small and would not be comfortable for a very large person. Towels are provided.

  • Both bedrooms are freshly decorated with comfortable beds and sunny southerly aspects onto the terrace and pool. They both have large built in wardrobes, plenty of drawer space and each have a fan, exterior blinds to darken the room and keep out the heat in summer and insect screens. Both bedrooms are very quiet with no traffic noise at all and they are at opposite ends of the apartment and are therefore completely private. Bedroom 1 has a large en suite bathroom and bedroom 2 has a small en suite shower room with toilet and basin (not suitable for very large people). All rooms have radiators. N.B. There is a small step up into both bathrooms plus two to the kitchen. Access to the apartment is down a couple of steps. Please discuss suitability for the disabled with owner.

Notes: The entrance to the apartment is from the terrace adjoining the pool. A patio door opens into a sunny living room with 2 sofas. At the far end of the living room are bedroom 2 and its shower room. Leading from the living room is an attractive curved corridor leading to the bright and modern kitchen/diner which is fully equipped for self catering. Off the kitchen is a small room with washing machine, iron etc and room to store cases. Leading from the kitchen is bedroom 1 and its bathroom. All rooms enjoy a southerly aspect over the terrace and pool with views over tree tops to the valley and mountains beyond. Furnishings are of a good quality and the apartment is fresh, clean and comfortable. Outside is a table and chairs for dining plus sun loungers around the large and deep salt water pool (minimal chemical usage) There are two covered areas that offer dense shade for escaping the mid day sun. From the terrace and the roof terrace there are fabulous views of Montgo mountain.

Children: Due to the peaceful nature of the property, the deep and unfenced pool and also a roof terrace accessed by a spiral staircase I regret that I will not take bookings that include very young children. Please note that older children must be good swimmers.

Activities: For golf enthusiasts La Sella golf club at the Marriot hotel is only 5 minutes away by car, while Javea golf course is about 10 minutes away. At La Sella their are also tennis courts and a spa. Javea has two tennis clubs and there is also a privately owned tennis court a few minutes away where a court can be rented. There are several sub aqua clubs offering diving courses and also accompanied dives plus a sailing school in Javea marina which offers learn to sail courses. There are also some excellent marked walking trails in the area, some gentle and some more challenging.
