Tasteful and spacious 2 bedroom fully air-conditioned and well equipped apartment with veranda and allocated parking. Quiet but central convenient location, within short walking distance to all amenities that the town location offers. 10-15 mins drive to beautiful beaches and airport. Suitable for both romantic getaways and family holidays. The apartment is situated in a quiet residential area but only a couple of minutes walk from a lively street Viale Aldo Moro with many cafes, bars, restaurants, shops and banks. Supermarket and Post Office are both 10 minutes walk away. Conveniently located within short 15 mins drive from the Costa Smeralda (Olbia) airport (and 1 hour and a half hour scenic drive from Alghero airport), Olbia is next to fabulous beaches of Costa Smeralda and is ideally situated for exploring North part of the island and nearby islands. Car rental is recommended. Private car parking facility is available at no extra charge.

Situated close to the town centre of Olbia, near the sea and famous beach resorts of Costa Smeralda, the apartment was built 2 years ago. A number of water activities (swimming, boat hire, diving, fishing, etc) is available at nearby beaches (eg Pittulongu near Olbia). Pittulongu, Lo Squalo and Cala Banana are the nearest beaches to the apartment at 10-15 mins drive from the apartment, all suitable for small children. Stunning and romantic surroundings allow for a holiday as quiet or as lively as you wish with swimming, fishing, golf, walking and other activities available. Lots of choices for dining out (list of recommended restaurants supplied) but option of self-catering family holiday if preferred with all amenities (shops, restaurants and banks, 2 large shopping malls with shopping to suit all budgets) within walking or short driving distance. Other points of historical and cultural interest include basilica of San Simplicio, Castelo di Pedres and nuraghi that scatter the island

  • Prices are based on 4 people sharing. The apartment is generally booked for full weeks but this is negotiable. Shorter breaks may be available. Bookings of 2 weeks or more - discounts available, please ask at the time of booking. Non-refundable deposit of 30% (minimum £200) payable at the time of booking. Balance due 1 month before departure. Breakage deposit of 250 euros (or equivalent in GBP if preferred) required payable locally, refunded on the day of departure once apartment has been checked.
  • Clean on arrival. Additional cleaning if required can be arranged locally at extra charge. Please bring own beach towels. Linen and other towels are provided. Local person available for troubleshooting.

    Final cleaning charge of 70 euros payable locally.
  • Changeover day is flexible - by arrangement. Departure time 10am and arrival time 3pm to allow time for cleaning (can be flexible).

Beaches and golf: Glorious beaches are what bring most people to Sardinia. The most famous beach resorts are on the Costa Smeralda. A number of water activities is available at nearby beaches (for example Pittulongu near Olbia). Pittulongu, Lo Squalo and Cala Banana are the nearest beaches to the apartment - all around 15 mins drive depending on traffic - all three are suitable for children. There are many more beautiful beaches all within a short driving distance. Details of nearby beaches and activities available on request.

Restaurants, shopping and banks: List of recommended restaurants is included in our welcome pack. There are several excellent restaurants, trattorias and cafe bars within walking distance from the apartment. For self-catering holiday: there are many food and non-food shops nearby - bakery, butchers, fishmongers etc are all within less than 5 minutes walk. Large supermarket is about 5-10 minutes walk away. Larger shopping malls (including hypermarkets) are within short driving distance. Post office and banks are on Viale Aldo Moro - within 5-10 minutes walk.

Airports and ferries: The most convenient airport - Costa Smeralda Olbia - is 15 mins drive away from our apartment (Easyjet and Meridiana from London Gatwick). Another option is a flight to Alghero airport (Ryanair from Stansted), a scenic 90 mins drive away from Olbia. There are regular ferry connections from Olbia port to mainland Italy (Genoa, Civitavecchia near Rome).

Excellent accomodation & personal experience

Our family of four spent a most enjoyable week at this apartment in Olbia for half term in October. The apartment is very comfortable, well equipped and beautifully maintained. We were met on arrival by Marco and Federica who were very friendly and welcoming and this got us off to a good start. The property is very well placed for access to the numerous shops, bars, and restaurants in the local area, as well as the local supermarket which stocks anything you could possibly need. I would recommend a car for exploring the beautiful coastline north of Olbia, as we did, with Pittulongu being our favorite local beach and Palau and the Magdalena Archipelago is a must see if you're visiting this area. We hope to revisit Sardinia soon as the local people were very pleasant and amenable and many spoke French which was great, as we sadly don't speak italian yet. We would like to explore more of the island to the south but would not hesitate to recommend Sara's property for anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay close to Sardinias fabulous beaches which are the safest we've ever visited with our two children. Many thanks to Sara and Co. for a thoroughly pleasant first impression!

Sardinia, summer 2009

My wife, step-son (7), daughter (4) and I stayed in this flat for two weeks in August this year and can wholeheartedly recommend it. The flat itself is on the ground floor, well-equipped (no television to my delight), clean and modern. There is a dining area inside the flat and on a delightful terrace. The bathroom is new and modern as is the kitchen. The flat is situated in a quiet area and within walking distance of a good supermarket, bakery, gellateria and good pizzeria. A hire car is essential to access the numerous superb beaches within a short drive. Our favourite, Sos Arasos, was clean, child-friendly and a 10 minute drive. For people watching, the centre of Olbia is a short drive where parking is easy. We would definitely go back.

Lovely holiday

We were met at the apartment on time & shown round & how to use the cooker etc., it was very well equiped and clean with everything you would need to cook meals if you wanted to, the airconditioning was very easy to use & was as cold as you needed it to be.
It's in a very nice, quiet area with enough bars & restaurants to keep you busy if you didn't want to go into the centre of Olbia which was a 25 min walk.
It's well worth hiring a car as the scenery and beaches all along the coast are beautiful.

I would recomend Sardinia and this apartment but it is very expensive so take plenty of Euros.

Spacious, clean, well-equipped modern flat

This is an excellent property to rent. Spacious clean air-conditioned rooms, new furniture, well-equipped bathroom and kitchen with everything you need to live as if you never left your home. It's just about 12-15 minutes walk from the town centre but very close to shops, restaurants, supermarket and bus stops from where you can easily get to any of the nearby beaches or the town centre. The house owners are very helpful, friendly and punctual. A highly recommended property.
