Our 2 week stay at Sundowner Villa

We used this Villa in March/April 09 and found it a good experience. The property offers 2 bedrooms but the second bedroom was a little on the small side, however despite this it was furnished well and a double bed was in place. The other bedroom was spacious and adequately furnished with a good sized en-suite. The air conditioning in both bedrooms worked beautifully. There were no A.C. in the living room but a fan was provided. The property is clean and well maintained and offers a lovely view of the sea due to its up-hill location. Cruise ships could be seen passing. There was plenty of hot water (as well as cold). We received some lovely fruit & veg which were grown on the property. Mrs H and her staff were friendly, helpful and polite.
The private beach however did not materialise as an option and we did not see it. We didn't miss it either as there is a perfectly adequate public beach approx 10-15 minutes walk down the road just off the main road.
Car is not absolutely essential but we found it very helpful for ease of getting about. Also the walk up hill to the Villa can be exhausting if you are not accustomed to walking.
I was a little disappointed that there was not a washing machine available to use at the property but the owner informed us that one was being installed. However is a nice and friendly young lady called Nadine who would be willing to do the laundry for a small fee. As a self catering Villa we cooked a few times but we ate out most days. There are plenty of suitable places to eat on the main road, which is close by. We found the neighbourhood quiet, pleasant and safe. I would be happy to use this Villa again and would recommend it.
