Lesvos is the third largest island of Greece but yet largely unknown. There have been many famous artists and writer that have come from this island and one can see some of their works in the museums of Mytilene (the capital of Lesvos).
Truly an impressive island with archaeological ruins far and wide, olive trees are in an abundance and some are reputed to be over a thousand years old, and with the islands clear crystal cool waters so site seeing is a must.
