Cascina La Famó is a 200 year old farmhouse set in a rural location close to the hilltop village of San Marzano Oliveto in the centre of Italy's premier wine region. It is set in a beautiful 5 hectare (12.5 acre) estate with Moscato and Freisa vineyards, apple orchards and olives, as well as 2.5 hectares of organic hazelnut trees. Cascina La Famó offers two comfortable first-floor apartments for holiday rental: 'Alba', with a floor area of 45 m², and 'Asti', which has a floor area of 40 m². Both apartments have a double bedroom, a modern bathroom with a shower, a kitchen area and a view over the neighbouring vineyards. They are both equipped with satellite TV, unlimited ADSL internet access at no extra charge, and a telephone for free local calls. Between the 10th of May and the 10th of October guests can enjoy our private, south-facing 84 m² pool. The substantial, sunny terrace that surrounds the pool has panoramic views to the south and east.

The 'Alba' apartment has a double bedroom with a double bed, a wardrobe and a balcony with a view over the adjacent vineyards. The modern bathroom has a handbasin and a separate section with a large shower and WC. The charming sitting / dining room is equipped with two sofas and a Tuscan cupboard kitchen. It also contains an antique dining table with six chairs. The sitting / dining room and bedroom both have very high chestnut-beamed ceilings that give the apartment a very airy and spacious feeling. The kitchen has a gas hob with 4 rings, a small fridge, a basin and a full range of utensils; a microwave is available on demand. The first-floor apartment is accessed via an external stairway and its own front door; it has the exclusive use of a small outdoor terrace.

To the south the beaches of the Italian Riviera are within easy reach, while the mountains on the border to France are about a 90 minute drive to the west.
