Charming 16thC chateau located in the Gers countryside. The chateau was once a prominent hunting lodge and until recently the country residence of the Marquis & Marquise de Noe. The chateau enjoys 10 acres of mature gardens which are surrounded by a further 200 acres of vines, woods & fields. The vines produce Armagnac for the Chateau de Pomireau appellation as well as “Floc”, the local aperitif. Chateau de Pomireau is more a country home than a stately mansion and has 5 spacious guest bedrooms in the main house and 3 bedrooms in the Petite Maison. All have en suite or private facilities. There is a small gymnasium and games room in the grounds as well as the wonderful swimming pool. Each day the kitchen garden provides fresh vegetables for the guest’s meals and the chateau’s beehives produce an abundance of honey.

The Chateau de Pomireau is situated in Gascony (now called the Gers). The land is famous for its gourmet produce, in particular foie gras, confit de canard & fine brandy, Armagnac. Of the numerous bastide villages local to the Chateau de Pomireau, the pretty village of Montreal is the nearest and is well worth a visit. The Armagnac and the vineyards in the area welcome visitors from all over the world to taste their produce.     Accommodation at the chateau is on a B&B basis and breakfast is therefore included in the price. Should one wish to have a catered meal a spectacular 4 course supper with wine costs in the region of €45 per head.

    Bedrooms and bathrooms are cleaned daily and this is included in the price. Extra staff requirements available on request.

    The owners live on site and make sure all your needs are met and surpassed.

Notes: 50 meters from the chateau and adjacent to the Petite Maison we have converted this large barn into a games room and gym. The gym is well equipped with Multi Gym, Cross Trainer, and static bike, there is also a full size punch bag. In the games area there is a pool table, table tennis table, table football and dart board. Just across from the games room in the field there is a badminton net for an informal “Knock about” and also an area for ball games. The chateau also has bikes for those wanting to explore the locality, which is bike friendly, as well as equipment for archery.
