Chalet de Teil overlooks the spectacular Plateau de Sault in the Aude and is situated 1700m up on the Col de Teil, where there is a small ski station rising to 1800m above the village of Camurac. The chalet is surrounded by a panorama of fantastic mountain views which can be seen from all the rooms and inside you can enjoy all the comforts of modern living whilst soaking up the atmosphere of mountain life. Mountain air, wild life and spectacular scenery all combine to make the most charming and relaxing environment which you will never tire of! During the winter season you can ‘ski in’ and ‘ski out’ from the sous sol (basement), whilst in the summer there are many mountain walks that pass over the Col de Teil in all directions. There are plenty of towns and local markets around, and also thermal spas in the area. Experience mountain life and all it has to offer! Chalet de Teil is quite simply one of the most relaxing places you will ever stay!

Skiing at Camurac, Ax les Trois Domains, Chioula, Bielle, Ascou Pailheres, Vicdessos, Puyvalador, Formiguers, Les Angles, Font Romeu, Andorra Pas de la Casa, Soldue, Pyrenees 2000 and Eyne 2600. Beaches at Narbonne, Perpignan, St Cyprien and Argeles sur Mere. Steeped in Cathar history this part of France has every thing!   • A damage deposit of 300€ is required on booking, which is completely refundable after an exit inspection. Also on booking a deposit of 30% is required to secure the specific dates. Full payment to be received 14 days prior to arrival. Linen charge = 15€ per bed per week, to include sheets, pillow cases and towels. Mandatory exit clean is 70€.

  • On the upper level there is a large shower room with wc situated between the master bedroom and the family bedroom. Then on the ground floor there is a second shower room with bidet and seperate wc. Both have electric heaters, the one in the ground floor shower room also has a timer facility. There is a roof lite in the upper shower room and a window in the lower one, for ease of ventilation. The wc is independent on the ground level.

  • Bedroom 1 is the large master bedroom with chests of drawers, a dressing table and patio doors looking out on to the mountain slopes. Bedroom 2 sleeps up to 4 people comfortably and has two wicker chairs, a dressing table, chest of drawers and patio doors looking out on to the mountain forest. Bedroom 3 is a standard double with chest of drawers, a large wardrobe for storage and over looks the forest. Bedroom 4 has twin beds, a chest of drawers, a large wardrobe for storage and over looks the forest tracks. On the upper there is also a large communal wardrobe with ample hanging space. All the bedrooms can be kitted out with new linen, pillows, bedspreads and towels, or bring your own. Each room has curtains and shutters and all the interiors have wood cladding in the traditional french chalet style. There is simple electric heating in each room which is easily operated.

Notes: The accommodation is large and spacious and can easily cater for 10 people all year round. In the lounge area there is a large inset wood burning fireplace and the wood, kindling and fire lighters are all stored beneath the internal stairs down to the basement. All the facilities are modern and easy to use including a full range of laundry equipment located in the basement. There are large doors from the basement that directly access the outside of the property enabling all the outdoor equipment to be stowed easily, without the need to pass through the main living accommodation. All drying out can be done in this area. Full linen and towels can be provided if required at an extra charge of 15€ per bed, per week. The exit clean is mandatory at a charge of 70€.
