The villa is set amongst the ancient olive groves that produce the world renowned Puglian oil that bis reputed to be the best in the world. An excellent area for writers, artists, bird watchers and those who just want to relax and soak up the slow pace of life in Southern Italy. The villa is spacious and contains 2 double bedrooms (which could be used as single beds) each with their own patio doors onto the verandah overlooking the land and formal garden. There is a large living area also with comfy double sofa bed if required. There is a TV,DVD player and a large open fire for chilly evenings. There are 2 cloakrooms with a shower in one. A well equiped kitchen inside. Outside there are many varieties of fruit trees including peaches and cherries. There are various seating areas over the land both with sunny and shady aspects, and an outdoor kitchen with BBQ area for al fresco dining. The property is 5 minutes from the famous Banana Club, lido with its large pool and sports centre.

There are many marvelous hill towns to discover from here, including Martina Franca, Ostuni, Alberobello and Locorotondo to name a few. Each of these towns boast a market selling local produce as well as the usual market fayre. There are excellent beaches both on the Adriatic side and the Mediterranean (approx 35 mins) with fish shacks selling their BBQ'd fresh catch at extremely low prices. The perfect way to spend a lunchtime...often extending into an afternoon. The local wine is excellent and very cheap from the local Cantina's but beware of the Primitivo( up to 17%!) We are about an hours drive from the amazing cave town of Matera, once home of the ancient Sassi people. See the ancient olive trees that were present on the Appian way 2000 years ago. The famous 'Banana Club' is a three minute drive or 15 minute walk away. Open all day with a fabulous pool, sports facilities and restaurant. An excellent base for walkers. We can also arrange pottery, textiles and art classes nearby.
