Despite excellent communications with the letting agent we were totally unprepared for the wonderful welcome that awaited us at this unique villa. The house is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean with new furniture, fixtures and fittings. It is located at the edge of the village (off the back road to Sigri) and so enjoys the most spectacular views towards the sea over the fields and hills, yet is just a short walk (5 mins) from the delightful square in the centre of the village. Here you will find everything else you need to complete the perfect holiday. The setting is superb, surrounded by tavernas with tables and chairs spilling out into the square under the welcome shade of the trees. Greek men sit at tables from dawn until dusk and appear to never order anything ~ but life is relaxed, so who cares! But back to the accommodation ~ this is a spacious and relaxing house, restored with sympathy and style with a well equipped kitchen/dining room (I am sure I have seen some of those Ikea items before!) where there is also a sofa bench to relax away from the heat of the day. Outside the kitchen is one of the terraces with a sail above providing shade. We particularly liked the layout of the accommodation, with a bedroom on the ground floor with an adjacent shower room and a further bedroom on the next floor with an en-suite shower room, thus granting privacy for two couples sharing. Upstairs there is also a spacious sitting room with stunning views and a second balcony/terrace for private sun bathing. The beach is quite a walk in the heat, so I would reccommend a hire car as you can also then explore this wonderful island ~ if you can tear yourself away from this magical spot. We will return!
