Heart of the Salento; recently restored old village house down a side street in the middle of this quaint well-located village (pop. 3,700). Live the Puglia dream from this romantic hide-away. Both oceans are a short drive away giving access to numerous sandy and rocky beaches as well as picturesque little ports - take your pick. All around there is fantastic food and wine to be had with some favourite recommendations in the leaflet in the house. A choice of three supermarkets in the village as well as a wonderful bread shop and a bar selling a vast array of cakes and pastries, bank and chemist. More exotic shopping can be done in the unique baroque city of Lecce, the regional capital, a 1/2 hour away or take advantage of a.local market. The evening passagiata where you can see and be seen can be enjoyed in the village, in Lecce or perhaps in Gallipoli, the magnificently located walled city to the West. Access is easy as it is all on the ground floor, with very close street parking.
