A hidden gem, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the two beautifully refurbished cottages at Hybadore provide comfort and privacy. The perfect place for a tranquil Cornish retreat where you can simply relax and reconnect with family and friends, enjoy your private garden, stroll in the 4 acre meadow with its views of the Fowey Valley, or wander down to the local pub and watch the boats sail on the river. The cottages are also perfect as a base from which to explore the many delights of Cornwall; the stunning coastal, countryside and moorland walks, quaint seaside villages, spectacular Cornish Gardens, the many excellent golf courses, and of course the beaches. Taste the local flavor at the nearby sailing town of Fowey, with its narrow winding streets, eclectic shops, and award winning restaurants such as Restaurant Nathan Outlaw, with just some of its many attractions being the Daphne Du Maurier festival in May, Royal Regatta in August, and the charming Christmas markets.

The Old Winery is a spacious two bedroom barn conversion, beautifully and comfortably furnished with a mixture of contemporary and classic, with a wood burner and beamed ceiling in the gorgeously cosy sitting room, a spacious stone floored hallway in which to kick off your wellingtons, a pretty kitchen, and cloakroom with wc and washbasin on the ground floor. The first floor is home to a comfortable double bedroom and a twin bedroom, both with wooden floors and sloping ceilings, and a shower room with shower, wc and wash basin. Outside is a large private garden in which to sit and relax or perhaps enjoy an alfresco meal; and private parking for two cars.

I stayed at The Old Winery Cottage with my parents and after staying in a few average rentals we were delighted with the standard of the cottage. It was immaculate, home from home and we were made very welcome. The decor is gorgoeus and the beds extremely comfy, it has a wood burner and some lovely touches. The surroundings are equally stunning, set in lovely countryside. We had some great walks and enjoyed rambling around the village. It is also ideally situated near Fowey with plenty of restaurants and shops. We will definately stay again and highly recommend it.

We stayed in Old Winery Cottage for a last minute break in February, myself and my husband and two friends. The cottage itself was beautiful, with lots of lovely touches from original paintings on the walls to a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived (opened to breath no less!), oh and I must mention the wood burner which was great to toast ourselves infront of in the evenings (must get one at home!). The setting of the cottage was magical, views breathtaking, and very close to Fowey, which is a must see, and the coast. We came intent on rambling and sight-seeing and relaxing, did all of the above, and left vowing to return as soon as posisble.
