Lovely house with a breathtaking view.

Review Submitted: September 29, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
We stayed at this property over September and it was a fabulous break. Cappadocia is a fabulous area with lots to do and this house in the centre of Goreme is the ideal spot to visit the sights, horse ride, walk, etc.
The property itself has been lovingly restored and each room has its own unique character and features that made choosing which bedroom to use a welcome challenge. The property has fabulous views from the terrace and roof terrace and with a well equipped kitchen it was enjoyable to cater for yourself some nights while watching the sunset.
Facilities wise there was plentiful hot water in the property and it was immaculately cleaned with lovely modern bathrooms and enough seating that we didn't actually manage to use them all over our week there.
Goreme itself is ideally set-up as a holiday base and contains plenty of decent restaurants meaning that you could eat in a different place every night before wandering to the local cafe for wonderful baclava.
In conclusion I would definitely recommend the porperty to others. A lovely property in a fabulous area.

My great vacation in Goreme

Review Submitted: June 12, 2010 Date of Stay: May 2010
I would like to say big thank you to Mr. and Missis Hepworth. The pictures which are posted on the site are great but when I saw the house I was fascinated. It outgrows my expectations. Everything was perfect and done with great love to the detail. We were 7 people and enjoyed our stay there so much. The house is very clean and the interior beautiful. Besides it was cleaned every day by local Turkish woman. Also the location is great for sightseeing tours and exploring the valley. I highly recommend the property for vacation rental, romantic holiday or just few days off work. The region is very, very beautiful and it is really "must see". And again - Ian and Louise Hepworth, you did something very beautiful and it is one of the best places that I ever been. Kind regard, Desislava Hristova

Beautifully restored cave house

Review Submitted: May 31, 2010 Date of Stay: May 2010
This house was really cool, much bigger than we thought probably because the house is broken up into individual areas inside a walled complex. I could describe it as rustic luxury due to the fact that this house is carved out of limestone yet has gorgeous marble and expensive fixtures in the bathrooms, super comfortable beds, the plushest towels I have have ever experienced, fireplace, ladder leading up to the rooftop terrace, lounge chairs, outside picnic table adjacent to the kitchen, romantic lighting, private road with friendly locals living next door. The evenings were nice and quiet. An easy walk to the small grocery stores and downtown area where the restaurants and shops are. We used the kitchen for breakfast and the refrigerator was fabulous to hold foods and medicines. I liked the fact that there was stuff seemingly left by others like binoculars, travel books and magazines, crutches!, cooking stuff like oils and spices, it was very cumfy. Don`t forget to look up in the sky early morning around 6:30-7:00am to see all the hot air balloons, what a wild sight!
The reception people at the nearby Kelebek cave hotel were instrumental in getting us our airport boarding passes and anything else we could have needed as a concierge would do at a 4-5 star hotel anywhere else.
Highly recommended!

Carefully restored Cave House

CH Families Switzerland
Review Submitted: October 22, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We were just surprised to find such a beautiful and carefully restored Cave House. Everything was like on the pictures od even better. Weather in October was so lovely, that we couldn't really benefit from the charming living room on the top floor. We always stayed outside on the terrace. Our children loved the house too.
The table on the terrace is a little bit too small for 8 people, wheras the house has space for 9 Persons easily (we were there with two families). Might be a good idea to provide an additional small table, which could be folded.
Thanks very much for this beautiful house in this unique environment!

Brilliant holiday in Cappadocia

Review Submitted: September 8, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We spent a week at the Goreme Cave House in August 2009. The house itself was great, restored with real style and care it provided very comfortable accommodation for 4 adults and 6 teens, the split levels, terraces and cool 'cave' rooms giving a great sense of space.
The location in Goreme, a charming village with a kind of Northern Californian vibe, was perfect for exploring Cappadocia and its incredible sites and landscape. If you're thinking of going to Cappadocia then Goreme Cave House would be a very good base.
