There are 4 large double Bedrooms (1 En Suite), large luxurious family bathroom (sep. shower). A quailty property

We stayed here for a week at the beginning of September 2009 and had a wonderfully relaxing time. Completely agree with earlier reviewers - the property has been restored and furnished to a high standard , the description is accurate and the reality is even nicer than the photos. Debbie is an excellent owner and provides the right balance of helpfulness whilst leaving you to your own privacy. The only practical point we would add is to suggest you plan this mostly as a self-catering location as there are few restaurants within a short distance . It actually turns out to have advantages as there is a superb bakery close by , lots of the towns have great markets full of fresh local produce, and Debbie even offers a catering delivery service . There is also a BBQ provided and 3 different eating areas , so it can feel like you are eating somewhere different each night without having to worry about drinking and driving ! This is a quality property and we would definitely recommend .

Wonderful family holiday

We recently returned from Maison Fontaine and had a wonderful family holiday. Both the toddlers and teenagers enjoyed the break. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the relaxed nature of the property. Our only suggestion would be if you are taking toddlers is to take a travel stairgate - we did - because of the stairs saying that our youngest is 3 and she had no problem maybe we were being an over protective parent. To sum up if you want peace and quiet and to truly relax with or without the family this is a perfect choice we would go back again

The meaning of charm

We spent one week at La Maison Fontaine in Poitoux-Charentes in august. Both, the house and the Region were even better than we expected.
In the web-site you can find an accurate description of the house, but there are many other things that you must find out while you are there, like the astonishing starry sky, the unforgettable meals outdoor or the indescribable peace of the environment.
Kids really enjoy the house. They have lots of space to play games (the owners provide all kind of games to play out and inside the house) and the swimming-pool for sunny days. Futuroscope, L’Aquarium de la Rochelle, Fort Boyard or Le Zoo de Palmyra are the main attractions of this region for the kids. There are lovely towns in the surroundings like Saint-Jean D’Angely, Saintes or Cognac.
Tony and Debbie, the owners, really care for the house and their guests. They are very kind and helpful.
We strongly recommend this house for family groups or for a romantic getaway.

The property was accurately described on the web-site and is located in a lovely, tranquil location.
The standard of accommodation was excellent, with all the necessary creature comforts present.
There is an abundance of room and privacy.
The owner was extremely amenable, meeting us at the agreed time and offering a warm welcome and lots of advice on things to do, places to eat etc.
I would not hesitate in recommending this property to my friends and family and look forward to going there again in the future.

Fabulous property which lived up to its description in full!! Clean and very comfortable.
Lots of space indoors and a huge garden all the way round. Lots of space for football and badminton and we had some great games of volley ball in the pool!
The views are amazing and we loved the fact that you can eat outdoors on either side of the house! Lovely outdoor tables and seating provided.
The house is situated in a small hamlet so you need to use a car (or bike) to reach the local villages - we loved the local bistro/bar in Nere and the market on Sunday morning in Aulnay.
Friendly, helpful owners. Super place for a relaxing holiday - definitely recommend it!
