Island of Malta holiday apartment: Vittoriosa / Birgu

Having been met at the arport and shown to the apartment by Connie's mother, we settled to an idyllic 12 day holiday in Malta.
The location of the apartment is superb with the large balcony looking right out onto Valetta, and the Grand Harbour and each day we were able to watch as cruise ships sailed to and fro. The apartment facilities were also first class and we wanted for nothing during our stay. It was clean, comfortable and incredibly spacious.
We were able to dive into the sea out of the "front door" although James (aged 9) was a little worried about crabs, jellyfish and sharks!
On several evening we sat and watched several very impressive firework displays from the balcony and especially enjoyed the Victoriosa festival on our last 2 nights in Malta.
Locally, 3 or 4 excellent restaurants are just a short stroll away (all of which do takaway) which enabled us to eat well each evening.
Further afield, we discovered several good beaches and many interesting attractions to keep all of us entertained throughout our holiday. Hiring a car was certainly a realy good idea.
We always felt very safe throughout our stay as security guards were on hand 24 hours a day in the dedicated car park below the apartment.
I would certainly recommend this apartment to any one considering Malta for a holiday. We came away thinking that we would be very lucky to find anywhere better.
