Our charming 18th century country house 'en pierres' is beautifully situated on 6,5 hectares of its own grounds in a lustrous natural setting in a small nature reserve (Natura 2000) in Gascony. Here you find maximal privacy and peace and quiet, as well as an excellent accessibility by road. Throughout the year it is possible to rent the house as a self-catering holiday home. The house in fact consists of two separate units: a holiday home (max 9 pers) and the owners' home (equipped for 6 pers) each with their own living, fully equipped kitchen, terrace etc. The latter in combination with the fact that there are altogether 5 bathrooms makes this house most attractive for several families or a group of friends (max 16) desiring to spend their holidays together but who also want some privacy! The large pool is totally exclusive to the house guests. Around the house and garden you'll find sloping meadows and woodland. The distance to the historic village of Simorre with shops is 4 km.

Domaine Brandelin is found in the quiet, rolling countryside of Gascony. It lies in a small nature reserve, La Vallée et coteaux de la Lauze (a Natura2000 site), with deer, wild boar and plenty of other wildlife and famous for its orchids (in May) and butterflies. The quiet country lanes can be explored on our bikes, passing through little hamlets untouched by time. In 30 minutes you reach Auch (la ville d'Artagnan) and an hour drive gets you to 'la ville rose' Toulouse with its international airport.

    Rentals are from Saturday to Saturday (we can be flexible in mid or low season by prior arrangement); arrival is after 4.00pm and we ask you to vacate the house by 10am on changeover day. Bed linen and towels (1 bath and 1 hand per week) supplied. Bring your own pool towels. Central heating costs are charged when used.
  • In the mid and low seasons it is also possible to rent only one side of the house in which our attractive separate self-catering holiday home for max 9 persons is situated. Here are the rates for 2009:

Notes: The country house actually consists of two separate units under one roof: one for 9 and one for 6 persons. This is ideal for several families desiring to spend their holidays together, as the house offers you lots of space including 2 livings, 2 large both fully equipped kitchens, 5 large bedrooms each with its own bathroom and a mezzanine as a sixth bedroom. Smoking is allowed on the terraces but not inside the house. The large swimming pool (12 x 8 m) has its own terrace (apart from the terrace in front of the house) with 6 sunbeds, 8 chairs, 2 parasols, a solar shower and a round table. The poolside is fenced off and has an alarm. There is a large lawn in the garden which can serve as a playground. There is also plastic table and chairs set for small children as well as various toys for children. Several bicycles are available for hiring.

Swimming pool: Domaine Brandelin has a large private swimming pool of 12 by 8 meters for the exclusive use of the guests. It is a pool with a saltwater system. The pool has its own relaxing are with sunbeds, table, chairs and 2 parasols. It is fenced off and fitted with an alarm system as required by French law. It is situated in the garden about 50 meters from the house.

Surroundings: In the friendly green countryside of Gascony with its rolling hills, you'll find many authentic Gascon villages and bastides, unspoiled natural beauty as well as farmland with its vineyards, sunflower and rape fields and typical period farmhouses. Fortunately, the region has not yet been overrun by mass tourism and that's why you can still find 'the real thing' here. For those who seek peace and quiet, spaciousness, nature, countryside and authenticity and who love biking and hiking and their share of culture, it goes without saying that this really is a very attractive and truly unique area. And last but not least, its warm southern climate makes your holiday complete! Beside that you are just an hour's drive away of both the famous place of pilgrimage of Lourdes and the Pyrenées with its outstanding natural beauty and super skiing areas.

How to get there: Domaine Brandelin is situated in the south-west of France in Gascony (department Gers). There are some excellent possibilities for coming to us by air. The distance to the city of Toulouse with its international airport Toulouse-Blagnac is 74 kilometers and takes you about an hour by car. You can also fly to the airports of Pau (Pau-Pyrenees), Tarbes-Lourdes or to Carcassonne.
