I have just returned from the villa and had a wonderful time.
I am using the ‘Tips for writing reviews’ notes to do this review and will answer the questions honestly.
Was the listing description accurate regarding the location, layout, facilities, etc?
The description of the villa is mostly correct. There are a couple or items that were not as stated (but nothing terrible). But you might find these points useful:
There were 3 sun loungers – not 6 as stated on the notes.
Alicante airport is not 90k away – it’s double that!
Alicante is a 2 hr drive away.
The beach and restaurants are walking distance but it would take a good half hour with children (and a buggy) and the advert does not state that it is high up a hill which makes the return journey quite hard to do – so we used the car!
Was the property clean, was it well-maintained, etc?
The property was clean and had everything we needed.
It was a real ‘home from home’ which is incredibly useful when travelling with a 2 year old.
Did the owner provide good customer service?
Yes.
We were met by Michael who was very helpful. We had a some provisions bought for us (which was a god send as we had a 6 hr delay outbound)
Would you recommend this property to a friend or relative?
Absolutely. We would return too. But fly to MURCIA or ALMERIA!!
What activities, attractions and restaurants did you like or dislike?
We actually enjoyed the days spent round the pool the best as we were not on holiday to go out and about. The beach is very child friendly with shallow waters for a long way out, and supermarkets/restaurants within easy reach.
The villa is so lovely to relax in though, and very toddler safe.
Owner's Response: There are six sun loungers at the villa, but we only put out the number required per person staying, the others are available if requested.
The website states that the two nearest airports are Alicante & Murcia, the nearest being Murcia which is 90km away. The distance from Alicante depends on route, it is 148km if you use the new toll road.
We stay at the villa frequently ourselves with our two young children, and find the walk to town/seafront an easy walk which takes us approx 15 mins, there is a fairly steep hill on the way back which some people may find taxing in hot weather, or if carrying shopping, and we do recommend having a car to fully appreciate the area.
