The house is situated in a raised position overlooking a sheltered from the north winds bay surrounded by wind mills which have been refurbished to be used as summer houses (surrounded by gardens and swimming pools). The house offers fantastic sea views from all angles. It is a traditional stone made construction with a minimal interior design. Built in 2 levels, the first consists of a large protected open area for lunch/dinning and a spacious sitting area under a pergola. The kitchen is equipped with all necessary equipment and is an open plan with the dinning room and living room. The front balcony is very spacious looking to the direction of the sea. The lower level ground consists of 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. All bedrooms have access to the garden and offer fantastic views to the sea and the swimming pool. The house is surrounded by a well attended garden with roses and other plants. The sea view changes every hour making it an ideal portrait keeping the guests' eyes busy.

The island of Kea has many hidden spectacular offers. The house is located at one of the most prestigious places as it offers access to wonderful beaches while being unaffected by crowds of visitors and is an ideal spot for family summer vacation. A private beach is just 50 meters from the south gate of the plot with clear waters and only the inhabitants of the surrounding houses have access to such beach. Important to note for those who are looking for a calm environment, is that all the surrounding houses are owned by families. A very close alternative to the private beach is the beach at Koundouros (only 3 minutes by car or 15 minutes by foot) which has a beach bar, restaurant, etc. Nightlife is well organised at Vourkari - which is a small village offering mooring facilities for yachts- 40 minutes drive from Koundouros. The capital of the island (Ioulida) is built on a hill with spectacular views and has an archaeological museum. Don't miss the 'Lion of Kea' and the scenery.

Notes: The house offers well protected sitting areas. A large veranda is available under a pergola where a 10 persons dining table is located as well as a set of armchairs for 4 persons who may spend time reading and relaxing. A barbecue is also available in the same area making it an ideal place to organise barbecue nights. The sea view is accessible from this veranda since large windows allow to see the view of the front balcony which is also very spacious. A set of furniture is available and welcomes the guests to have the morning coffee and evening drinks in front of the sea. The swimming pool is equipped with two resting armchairs and an umbrella. Given the characteristics of the house most of the time is spent outside the house mainly in the verandas very typical for the Greek islands, so the actual time spent in the house is during the night or for a siesta (noon sleep). A car may be available subject to prior request. Also maid service is available twice per week.

The island of Kea is well connected with the port of Lavrio from which in 45 minutes drive one could reach Athens on order to see the city's main attractions. Leaving in the morning one could spend the day in Athens and return back to the island late in the evening. This flexibility becomes more attractive for those who may book for more than a week in the island. May of the residents during summer transport every day to their offices since the distance is very small (only an hour with the ferry boat). Also the island is interconnected with the island of Syros and Kythnos.

Other Activities: For those who enjoy walking the island is well known of its historic path routes through very nice land (paths dated back in the 6th century B.C).
