Modern design high quality villa, shares an infinity pool. Only 5 minutes walk to the lagoon, 3 mins walk to shops, bars and restaurants. Foz beach offers a promenade full of cafes, bars and restaurants and all sort of summer activities for family fun. This attractive, privately owned semi-detached villa is about an hour's drive north of Lisbon and 15 minutes from Obidos and Praia D'El Rey Golf. The villa is furnished to a high standard and sleeps 7 adults in three double bedrooms, plus an extra bed. A child cot and high chair are also available upon request. Large comfortable lounge with excellent views of the lagoon. Brick BBQ where you can dine al fresco in the privacy of the rear courtyard. In the basement, there is a pool table, exercise bicycle and children's games for family enjoyment. We also have a selection of books at your disposal. We offer 24/7 emergency number and are happy to recommend places and things to do in the area.

Foz do Arelho is within easy striking distance of Caldas da Rainha, Óbidos, Nazaré, São Martinho do Porto, Alcobaça and Batalha. Within easy day-tripping distance are Lisbon, Sintra, Fátima, Santarem and Coimbra. An express bus service runs from Caldas to Lisbon. The area is rich in history. Foz has a choice of beaches: on the Atlantic side deal for strong swimmers and surfers. The lagoon side has sheltered family bathing, ideal for sun-bathing and for children. Located in the centre of Portugal Silver Coast, ideal for a beach holiday and yet near all major points of interest which can be don in a day's trip. Portugal has a good road network and Foz do Arelho is no exception, just 5 min. from the A8 and A15. Foz also boasts the region's finest night club and plenty of bars, good restaurants etc. for your entertainment into the wee hours.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A 30% initial deposit is immediately payable at the time of booking by bank transfer to a UK high street bank. This allows the owner to make a booking in your name and take the requested dates off the online web calendar. The balance amount is usually payable in two further instalments the last of which will be payable no less than 30 days before your intended date of arrival.
    A fully refundable security deposit of £300.00 is also payable 30 days before your scheduled arrival. This amount is returned to you by bank transfer to your nominated bank account within 10 working days of your departure from the villa.
  • Please note that the Christmas period attract peak rates between 19 December 2009 and 02 January 2010. These rates can be flexibly applied depending on the number in your party and your length of stay. Nightly rates will normally apply. The rental charge includes cleaning costs, towels, linen, electricity, gas and water. There will be an extra winter heating charge that will not normally exceed £25.00 per week or pro-rata as convenient.

  • There are two full size bathrooms located on the first floor decorated with modern stylised tiles with bath and shower provided. In addition on the ground floor is a cloak room just by the main entrance. The fourth is a conveniently located shower room in the basement.

  • The three bedrooms are located on the first floor off a smart and brightly lit landing. The staircase is framed within a large floor to ceiling glass panel window that brings in plenty of natural light giving the villa its bright and cheerful character. There two doubles with fitted wardrobes and chest of drawers with French windows overlooking the fabulous Obidos lagoon. The third is a twin bedded room also with fitted wardrobes and similar views of the lagoon. Each of the bedrooms lead off from the central corridor that spans the length of the villa. Opposite the bedrooms are the two full size modern bathrooms.

We cannot recommend this villa highly enough, it was very well equipped and the location was perfect.

My husband and son spent most of our two week stay playing pool in the games room which gave me plenty of time to relax in the sun by the beautiful infinity pool!

We will definitly be booking to return in 2010.
