Peace and Tranquility at St Endreol:
The secluded and tranquil south facing garden is a delight with Agapanthus, Lavender and other Mediterranean plants. There is natural shade supplemented by a large umbrella. The garden furniture comprises of a table, six chairs, two loungers and two deckchairs. Visitors enjoy walks on the estate with stunning views across the golf course with Var mountain scenery to the north and Roquebrune and the coast to the south. The large shared swimming pool and tiled sun area is about 100 metres from the house and is fully equipped with loungers and umbrellas (April / October) free of charge. Garage 10 mts from the house with automatic door, ideal for storing golf clubs / bicycles etc. A feature of the resort is its landscaping and abundance of Mediterranean flora and fauna. The large Spa (500mts) with its indoor pool, separate hydrotherapy pool, sauna and steam room is a delight at any time of the year. Full treatment packages are available. Environs:
St Endreol combines the benefit of a golf resort vacation yet with privacy and the sophistication of the French Riviera within easy reach. For those wishing more peaceful pursuits there is beautiful scenery, vineyards and quintessential Provencal hill top villages all around the area. Many local restaurants serve traditional food and wine at highly competitive prices. In summer excellent beach restaurants are to be found along the sandy coast from Les Issambres to St Maxime. World class shopping is available at St Tropez, Nice or Cannes - a 40 mins drive or train from Les Arcs station - 8 kms. The idyllic Provencal villages of Callas and Bargemon with their cafes and restaurants are within easy reach as is the major town of Draguignan. Le Muy has a local market on a Tuesday and Sunday and a taste of traditional French life can be enjoyed in nearby La Motte, which has an excellent patisserie and charcuterie in addition to cafes etc.
Beaches and Vineyards!:
The sandy beaches of Les Issambres / St Maxime are within 30 mins drive, with frequent ferry service across the bay to St Tropez . Restaurants, cafes etc abound along the coast. St Endreol is surrounded by vineyards producing top class wines, notably Château d'Esclans. The Grand Canyon du Verdon (40kms) - a spectacular national park makes an ideal day excursion. The French national water ski centre is located nearby at Roquebrune and the area is popular with cyclists and hikers. Isola 2000 / Auron ski resorts approx 2.5 hrs drive.
Golf:
Golf at St Endreol is best enjoyed in spring and autumn. The 18 hole course, voted amongst the top ten in France is set amidst undulating countryside with several water features including the signature 13th hole played over the river Endre. The course is well maintained with top quality greens. There is a driving range plus practise area / putting green. Electric buggies are available. The club house serves excellent food and the terrace enjoys tremendous views of the Var Mountains. For keen golfers other courses in the area include the Four Seasons resort at Terre Blanche (30 minutes drive), St Maxime and Gassin (40 mins and 60 mins respectively).
