Ville Papillon was beautifully renovated and modernised in 2008 – it combines rustic charm with high quality modern facilities & accommodation The Villa sits in an elevated position in it’s own mature gardens, commanding lovely uninterrupted views of the French countryside. The villa comprises a large open-plan kitchen dining area, a wood burning stove, an 8-seater farmhouse dinning table, & French doors to the dining terrace with steps access to the heated pool and upper terrace. There is a downstairs WC and separate utility with washer. The lounge has a rustic fireplace with wood burning stove & seating for 7 people. Upstairs, the large master suite has a king-size bed, seating area with table & en-suite. There are three more bedrooms upstairs and a large luxury family bathroom. There is a large driveway allowing plenty of space for parking.

Ville Papillon is 1.5 miles from the lovely village of Guegon with a bakery, bar, restaurant & small super market. The medieval town of Josselin famous for it's magnificent château on the banks of the river Oust (connected to the Nantes-Brest canal) is just 3 miles away. Josselin has large supermarkets and also within the town there are several shops, restaurants, bars & cafes. The river Oust is a great place to hire a boat or canoe, or have a stroll or bike ride along the tow-paths. The town of Ploermel with it's lake (Lac Du Duc) is only 8 miles away where there is a sandy beach, water slides and a restaurant. A wide range of sports are available both on & off the lake e.g. Tennis, volley ball, sailing, water skiing, golf etc. Only 45 minutes drive south is the Golfe de Morbihan, with a vast bay, many islands, sandy beaches & rocky inlets popular for sailing & cruising. 1.5 hours drive to the north will reach: the Cotes d'Armor, Dinard Airport & the walled city of St Malo.

Ville Papillon is situated at the end of a long driveway where there is only one other house. The other house is Ville Conan and is available to rent for upto 4 people. There are no other houses nearby and each house has it's own private garden.

Couldnt fault this villa it had all you could want .
We stayed at the end of Sept and the weather was perfect.
The welcome hamper was a nice touch the booking was easy, loads of things to see and do .

Lovely house and good area to explore

The house is lovely with spacious rooms and a well equipped kitchen.
It is in a very nice setting with views over open fields and nice walks just down the hill.
Josselin is very close and has lovely canal walks, chateau and creperies and supermarkets are well within reach.
There are various places to see within driving distance (within less than an hour) including zoos, aquariums, butterfly house, dinosaur trail and a museum about the French resistance. They were all very entertaining for adults and children alike!
The pool is nice and handy and the garden has plenty of room for children to run around in.
Overall a lovely holiday destination in a very friendly part of France.

We were a party of five adults and an eight week old baby...........................This property is exactly as advertised, a beautiful 'homely'
house, extremely well laid out and comfortable. We spent three memorable weeks here and would recommend it to any family. Unlike previous properties we have rented, the description is accurate, it isn't overlooked so if you want privacy you've got it.It was very clean, lots of spare linen and bedding in each room, well equipped kitchen and satellite tv. Location was ideal, rural yet not isolated quite close to the village, the village has everything you need from pharmacy, bakery to a well stocked grocery shop. The people in the shop were extremely helpful and friendly.
It was central to most attractions and close to main routes which is ideal for travellers. The pool was maintained throughout our stay and linen changed weekly.
All in all we had a great experience here and would hope to stay in 2010. Thanks to the Hutton family
