Wander through the neighbourhood streets, take the the famous number 28 tram (stop at apartment door) to discover Alfama and the Castle, return back home by the Tagus riverside and then again go out choosing dozens of restaurants and cafes with terrace in Bairro Alto or Chiado where traditional, modern and trendy shops mix up. You'll experiment living in a 19th century Lisbon style building with its high ceilings (4m), wooden floor, harmonious divisions, large windows that invite the golden Lisbon light. You will love to walk around, but all means of public transport are just around the corner, 5 minutes away: Take the boat to cross the River, the train to Estoril/Cascais (20 minutes to Estoril nice beaches), Tram to Belem/Jeronimos & the Castle or the Metro.

With all kind of facilities near by: Metro Station (Baixa Chiado), supermarket, shopping centre (Armazéns do Chiado), Carmo and Chiado museums, theatres, churches, public transportation and 24hour taxi stands. Close to Bairro Alto, one of the most typical zone of Lisbon, with several restaurants, bars and shops. Don't need car. Very close of different types of public transportation that can take you to all Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais.

Great Week in Lisbon

Miguel and Joana were very welcomming and very helpful with information about the area we the flat was in.

The flat is great with high ceilings and the accommodation was very spacious - we were even allowed to use the grand piano.

Location is excellent with the 28 tram stopping outside and it was only a 15 minute walk into the centre if we were feeling energetic.

Local resturants were good and cheap and easy to get to.

We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this appartment.

We stayed for weekend on this apartment and it was absolutely fantastic. it looks like a dream!
Huge living room and balcony with beautiful views, nice bathrooms, and very comfortable rooms. The location is perfect, because the street is quiet at night but you can reach in 5 minutes walking one of the best nightlife areas of Lisbon. Owners are very helpful and friendly and they will help you with everything.
Definitely. I recommend this apartment to everyone who wants to stay in one of the best apartments of Lisbon!

Wonderful week in Lisbon! Superb flat!

We were 5 (2 parents and 3 teenagers) and had a lovely time; the flat is big, very light and very well located. We loved jumping on and off the old tram 28E and going to Plaça Camoes to eat. The owner, Miguel, has plenty of useful information and knows lots of great restaurants. There is a small supermarket just near by. The girls really enjoyed the fitness mezzanine! There is everything one needs in the flat and though it is old in parts, it has lots of charm. There is plenty of storage room and all the necessary machines. The only weak point is that the bathrooms are very small, but there are 2 wc... We liked it so much, we think we'll be back!

Very nice and fully equipped appartment, more than enough room for all the family !

The appartment is ideally located in a pleasant area next to the old center of Lisbon and not far from small shops and just next to the tram stop. Very practical !

Only one weak point : the bathtub in the bathroom is a bit too narrow and to short, particularly for a tall person or for two young kids taking their bath together.

Property to be recommended.

Besser gehts nicht

Die Bilder haben uns gelockt - die Wohnung hat alle Erwartungen erfüllt. Super Lage mit der Linie 28 direkt vor der Tür, zu Fuß zum Fluss, ins Barrio Alto, in die City. Herrliche charmante Wohnung mit Scherengitter-Lift, tollem Blick über den Tejo, Küche mit Vollausstattung - wenns sein muss auch für 16 Personen! Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine und natürlich dem Yamaha-Flügel, den wir ordentlich bespielt haben. Daneben CDs mit bester Portugisischer Musik, was will man mehr. Gute Wäsche in weiss, alles pieksauber, wenn auch in einem alten Haus die Bäder manchmal etwas müffeln. Und ja, wie auch schon beschrieben: Die Badewanne ist für uns Mitteleuropäer zu klein, aber wen stört das schon, hat man doch zwei Duschen zur Wahl und kann sich prima am morgen aus dem Weg gehen.
Alles zum Einkaufen ist in der Nähe, die Lage könnte nicht besser sein. Mit Straßenlärm muss man rechnen, ein Idyll der Ruhe sollte man hier nicht erwarten. Das ist dann aber eben auch Leben pur und die alte Electrico-Strassenbahn hat so ihren ganz eigenen Sound.
Super netter Kontakt mit dem Vermieter und mit seiner Mutter. Das Richtige für entspannte Lissabon-Tage. In 50 Minuten waren wir am Strand Richtung Cascais und das alles natürlich ohne Auto, das braucht in dieser Stadt kein Mensch. Das Taxi hat uns 13 Euro incl. Gepäckzuschlag zum Flughafen gekostet, innerhalb der Stadt ist es schwer, mehr als 6 Euro zu verfahren.
Jetzt noch ein klein wenig Investment in etwas Farbe für die Bäder und vielleicht mal einen neuen Duschvorhang, dann ist es wirklich perfekt.

Alles in allem eine Wohnung für alle, die einen städtischen Bohème-Stil schätzen, dabei selbständig sind und das Originale zu schätzen wissen. Wenn dann erst mal der Vinho Verde unter der Campari-Lampe im Esszimmer steht... Wir freuen uns schon jetzt auf das nächste Mal!
