Quinta da Boa Nova is a beautifully landscaped complex between Sesmarias and Ferragudo in the Lagoa area of the Algarve. The property is a modern, beautifully furnished home in a Mexican style by the owners. The 2 double ensuite bedrooms are on the upper floor. The main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has 2 single beds. Both rooms have ample wardrobe space. Downstairs consists of a spacious lounge/dining area, additional shower room and fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and utility room. The terrace to the front with outdoor furniture overlooks the Monchique mountains. The property has mosquito screens, electric shutters and underfloor heating throughout. The complex currently boasts 2 tennis courts for free use by all guests, a large pool area with separate children's pool, sunloungers and umbrellas. The bar area adjacent to the pool also serves light snacks. The adjoining restaurant is scheduled for opening in 2010. There is ample car parking

There are at least 12 beautiful sandy beaches in the area. The nearest being Caneiros Beach with its fabulous romantic restaurant on stilts overlooking the sea. Major attractions nearby include Aqualand, Slide & Splash and Zoomarine. Both the outstanding Pestana Gramacho and Pinta 18 hole golf courses featuring the David Leadbetter Golf Academy are a 5 minute drive away.The 9 hole Vale de Milho is also within easy reach. In fact the region around Boa Nova is a golfers paradise. There are numerous restaurants in the area and a local mini market for day to day needs. Main supermarkets can be found outside Carvoeiro and Portimao. There are numerous places of interest in the region which are worth while exploring.

  • All above rates are for upto 4 guests. Additional 5th/6th guests will incur a nominal charge of £5.00 per night or £20.00 per week each to cover additional cleaning/ laundry costs. Winter lettings will incur an additional charge for the underfloor heating.
    A discount will be offered to returning guests.
  • A non refundable 25% deposit is required at time of booking, the full amount being due at least 6 weeks prior to arrival.
  • As we are not requesting a breakage/ damage deposit we would ask our guests to treat our possessions with care. In the unlikely event of you breaking or damaging an item we would appreciate recompense.

Notes: The terrace off the lounge,furnished with a large glass topped round table and 4 comfortable easy chairs, overlooks the Monchique Mountains and the beautifully designed and immaculately maintained gardens of Boa Nova. The property has a non smoking policy but smoking is permitted on the terrace. The lounge has a 32' LG Plasma TV with Freesat SKY TV and a DVD Player. In the kitchen there is an Hitachi HIFi Micro System. All linen and towels are provided. Maid service can be arranged if required but guests are welcome to use the laundry facilities in the utility room to suit their needs. Arrival and departure dates outside July and August are flexible allowing guests to benefit from the cheaper flights that are usually available outside the weekend flight dates. Entry on day of arrival is 1400 and exit on day of departure is 1000. Some flexibility on these times could be possible especially for mid week bookings. If these arrangements do not suit your requirements, just ask us!

Local Restaurants: There are several restaurants in the locality of Boa Nova and numerous places to eat in Carvoeiro on Restaurant Hill and surrounding streets. You will be spoilt for choice. Restaurants cover many different nationalities and taste. Fish is obviously a favourite selection. Eat on the quayside at Ferragudo and sample the freshly caught sardines.

Boa Nova forthcoming attractions: Boa Nova's own restaurant is scheduled for opening in 2010. The rooftop dining will have a magnificent 360 degree panoramic view. For guests requiring lighter meals there will also be a snack bar attached .The pool side bar already serves light snacks. Should you prefer to dine casually al fresco, our kitchen is equipped to a high standard covering most chef's requirements---let us know if there is something we have missed! Enjoy the mild evenings on the terrace relaxing and sampling the local wines and port.

We have just returned fom Pam & Brian's villa and would like to thank them for an excellent holiday,The villa is furnished to a very high standard and slept 6 people with ease, The complex is in beautiful location and within a short drive or walk to local shops and restaurants. The pool is a good size and is very clean with ample sunbeds.
We founf the site managers Jane and Jeremy very helpful and a great source of information on the local attractions. I would highly reccomend this as a great holiday location & there is something to cater for all and finally for the golfers the local courses are a must.

Visit to Portugal

We have just come back from Quinta Boa Nova and I have to say what a beautiful place to visit. Brian and Pam should be very proud of there home and Jane & Jeremy offer an excellent service when you are over there. The apartment is furnished beautifully and to a high standard with all the facilities you could ever need, the pool is clean and well presented catering for everybody and soon there will be the bar and restaurant but unfortunately for us was not yet open but when they open at the beginning of next year they will be amazing as is the rest of the complex. (saved us a fortune being shut because we took our own beers to the pool). There are three beaches you can visit which are close but Caverios and Ferragudo are beautiful and both within a 30 minute walk of the house. Food wise there are all sorts of places but I would have to say for us Island Cafe and Donatos had to be two of our favourites with friendly staff and excellent food. We will certainly be going back and if your interested in visiting Portugal hire Brian & Pam’s Town House you won’t be disappointed. For shopping use public transport the busses are great and it cost £1.90 each to Lagoa

Haven in the Algarve - Boa Nova

Our stay at Pam and Brian's was all we had hoped for and more. The complex is in a beautiful quiet setting with delightfull well maintained gardens and an excellent Pool / Bar / Restaurant area.
The site is close to scenic costal paths with three unspoilt beaches in walking distance before you reach Ferragudo ( nearest 20 Minutes walk, furthest one hour)
The Townhouse is fitted throughout to a very high, comfortable standard and has everything you could possibly need if you wished a fully self catering holiday.
If cooking is not on the agenda then there are 3 very good restaurants within 20 minutes easy walking distance.
A hire car is recommended for journeys to the nearest resort of Carvoeiro (Good Beach / many and varied restaurants and bars) and other towns of historical and cultural interest in the region.
We had such a relaxed and enjoyable stay and have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation and it's setting.

Quinta da Boa Nova. One week stay June 2009.

We chose this townhouse in Quinta de Boa Nova for a family holiday in June because we were well informed on the spec, location and level of finish in the property. We were not dissapointed, it was fabulous.
Finished to very high standard and well provided for.
The complex management were very helpful and the main pool area and gardens were very well kept.
The complex is in a beatiful location if not a little isolated. Being nestled between Feragudo and Carvirero means a car journey to most of the local attractions and beaches, however, we did walk to the popular Caneiros beach a couple of times with our 3 year old daughter.
We felt a week was just not long enough and will be planning a return visit in the near future.
Only let down for me was the size of the bed in the master bedroom...too small for a 6'6" bloke and his 5'10" missus. I'm sure it will suit most guests though.
