Longeveau is located in a beautiful valley on the Charente / Dordogne border. Nearby villages are full of activity, with numerous places to visit, dine and drink.
Aubeterre is only a bike ride away and was recently voted one of the prettiest villages in France. Discover the 12th century subterranean church carved out of the rock or enjoy a drink on the village square, overlooked by a 1000 year old chateau. Alternatively walk down to the river beach for a swim or to soak up the sun.
Locally, Riberac has one of the biggest markets in France, while Angouleme and Perigeux offer a wider range of shops. Brantome is well worth a visit, as are the famous towns of St. Emilion, Bergerac, Cognac and Bordeaux.
Local activities include walking, sight seeing, fishing, cycling, canoeing, crazy golf, horse riding, tree top adventure, jet–skiing and quad biking, to name but a few. Wine tasting and degustation are a must. There are a host of fetes and firework displays throughout the summer.
