A beautiful farm house in almost three acres of meadow land with trees & Landscaped gardens. Set in the French countryside surrounded by vineyards, woodlands & beautiful lakes. This area is well known for its wine making. We are 1/2 mile from Jonzac town with supermarket general store & patisserie on hand. Less than an hours drive from Cognac, Bordeaux, St Emilion & the sea side town of Royan. The property also has a middle size Swimming pool, patio with furniture, barbecue & sun shade. The weather in this area is said to be the second sunniest in France with its own microclimate. There are two large lounges one with satellite TV(All UK TV plus sports/films) DVD, video & CD player and radio. The upper lounge has a large log burner leather three peace suite & in the winter with a bottle of local red win you can talk the night away. Just down the road 1/4 of a mile is a new water sports center for all to use.All this combines to make this house the perfect holiday destination to relax.

Chez Vinet is 1/2 a mile form Jonzac town centre on the east side of the town .We have a fabulous water sports leisure centre nearby, Also Fishing, cycling, horse riding, golf, walking and boating. 45mins from the sea side town of Royan Bordeaux, Cognac, St Emilion.The nearest Motorway A10 junction 36 at 16 miles away then take sign to Jonzac and you go though small town of Pons.The nearest Ferry is St Malo 280 miles and Caen 335 miles. Bordeaux Airport is just 60 minute easy drive away on the A10 or closer still only 45 minutes from La Rochelle airport also on the A10 Car hire is available at all the Airports.

Inside the house it is on three levels with bedrooms down stairs and up stairs suitable for elderly or infirm but only if they are able to use the down stairs bedrooms. There is a telephone for incoming calls only. Mobile phone reception is available. A cleaner comes in and cleans weekly; There is no smoking in the house.

Jonzac a tourist and thermal resort.: Strolling through the streets with their fine facades or along the river banks,Jonzac's rich past comes to life.Its heritage is symbolised by the imposing Chateau (listed monument) built on the rock. In July and August the Tourist Office gives free guided tours of the building in English every Wednesday at 4pm. Discover the old quarters in the centre of town:the Tourist Office runs a tour in English of the medieval alleys,the Baltard-style covered market,the Romanesque church,xvc town gate,the stone bridge and ancient convert.Why not take a boat trip along the river or visit the restored working windmill.Markets on Tuesday,Friday and Sunday mornings (restored covered market, Baltard style).Theire are many distilleries around the area selling Pineau- Connac-Local wine.The office of tourism can supply addresses of market gardeners, cheese makers and vintners of Cognac, Pineau and local wine on request.The Tourist Office is in the town centre next to the Chateau.

Multiple Leisure Facilities: The aqua centre 'Les Antilles' ( 10,000m2 - open all the year round) is one of the Charente-Maritime's magor attractions.Everything is there among the exotic vegetation: a large wave pool, waterfall, a 60- metre chute, games for children, aqua- fitness,a tropical glasshouse, Caribbean beach huts. At the Heurtebise Leisure park you'll find picnic areas, a restaurant, children playground, bathing lake,climbing wall, archery sailing.In summer it makes an appealing alternative to the traditional seaside.The thermal spa, housed in the caves of Heurtebise, treats rheumatological and respiratory problems.Its health and fitness programmes are open to the general public.

Wonderful holiday. After a hectic Christmas in the UK, it was the perfect place to relax before heading back to Australia.

The accommodation was bigger and better than we imagined. It has clean and well maintained, well furnished, including comfortable beds, has large open living areas, central heating, and log fires to add atmosphere in the evening.
The large garden and swimming pool would be fantastic in the heat of summer, but it as middle of winter for us. Though cool at night, and crisp on some days, we had blue sky (except one very damp day trip to Cognac).
We found it easy walking distance to the chateau and the historic centre of Jonsac, and a 5 min car trip to the large supermarket where prices are very reasonable, particularly the wine section!!
We had a great time. The locals were very friendly and our 3 yr old daughter was using French in her everyday vocabulary in no time.
The swimming pool/leisure pool next to the casino in Jonsac is great fun with wave machine and water slides.

We would definately stay here again as we found it to be exceptional value for money. Next time though, we would fly to La Rochelle and drive from there rather than drive from the UK..

Lovely relaxing stay - very clean and well equipt with everything we needed. Very nice grounds and a lovely area. We would recommend this place to friends and will visit again

A great farm house with out farmyard smells. very clean and comfortable with 3 sitting rooms to quietly read my book out of the sun.

Surrounded by open fields and vineyards but a five minutes walk frm the centre of Jonzac with some great restaurants, try the Coq D'Or good food here

The pool and gardens are just what you hope for and the house was really clean and is managed by a gardener and his wife who looked after us while we were there

Loads to do in the area so no time to be bored. Thanks for a great holiday and we will see you again for christmas
