Calahonda is located on the Costa del Sol midway between Marbella & Fuengirola & numerous golf courses, 25 minutes from Malaga airport. It is one of the largest urbanizations on the Costa del Sol. All you might need is encompassed at the heart of this thriving community, banks, large multinational supermarkets, shopping centers, health clinics, beach clubs, bars and restaurants with cuisine from every corner on the world.
The local bus goes between Fuengirola in one direction and Marbella in the other.
Calahonda is close to the sophisticated world famous Marbella and convenient for Puerto Banus & Fuengirola. Superb beaches are a five minute drive away & the harbour of Cabopino which is served by excellent restaurants and bars is nearby. Also nearby are family attractions including Tivoli World, Aqua Park the new Mijas Race Course and cable car rides to the Calamorro Mountain. Known locally as Costa del Golf, this area has in excess of 40 golf clubs to choose from and so is a golfers paradise. You are sure to find what ever you are looking for, whether it is variety or a course to suit your ability. Santa Maria and Santa Clara courses are both within a few minutes drive. You can either play a round of golf or simply use the driving range. The well known golf clubs at La Siesta and Cabopino are also close by as is Puerto Cabopino, which is also famous for its very attractive marina, stylish restaurants and fabulous beach with attending life guards and First Aid hut.
