We found the appartment to be tastefully decorated, spacious and very clean, and the views were just amazing. Ossuccio itself was small, charming and not swarming with tourists compared to the other places further up.
There is a newspaper shop around the corner, and the supermarket was 2 minutes in the car.
Our 2 children enjoyed the nearby lido, grassy area with bar, and jumping off the jetty into the lake, only 2 minutes on foot. At night it turned a bit livelier with a dj, and local bands.
In front of the house was the marina and it was reasuring to know that Mino was nearby if we had any questions. The best bit of our weekend was hiring the boat from Mino for 2 hours in the evening, so memorable.
There were restaurants close to the villa but we chose to go to a fish festival the first night in nearby Sala Comacina, 15 minute walk. The next night Mino recommended the San Giorgio hotel in Lenno, again 15/20 minute walk, incredible setting. Lenno was very touristy with a promenade, and plenty of bars and restaurants.
As the villa is on the main road, the traffic was loud as we had the windows open (August), also we were right beside a church. We didn't see a washing machine but we didn't ask either.
In all we had a fantastic weekend, the owner Mino was very friendly and informative and we would love to return again.
Owner's Response: The washing machine is in Lenno,next village, direction north, behind the petrol station, only 2 kms from Ossuccio.
