Lake Como has a temperate climate as it is sheltered from northern winds by the Alps. This makes it very pleasant in high summer, and not too cold during the winter time, when we have sun shining most of the time. Milano, Lugano, Verona and Venire are not too far.
Ossuccio is situated between Como and Menaggio, on the west coast of lake Como. The Belltower and the Island Comacina are the most attractive places in Ossuccio, but also the easy walking to the Sanctuary 'La Madonna del Soccorso' it's something you cannot miss. The most famous event is Ossucio is St. John's day, for its spectacular show of fireworks on the Island. Also the Restaurant on the Island is very requested, because of the malediction which brings you back to the Middle Age, when the Island was captured by the Barbarossa.
