Two self catering properties in a quiet location nestling in the valley below the picturesque hill top village of Montatlo. The Olive Mill has a large living space featuring the old mill stone and the olive press. Outside there is a large garden leading down to the river where you can dip into the mountain water.The Mill House is next door and is a recently restored traditional stone building with a traditional stone roof and local slate on the stairs. This is south facing and has a lovely view from the sitting room and bedroom. Outside there is an enclosed garden and an outside room that is ideal for alfresco meals. Access to the river can be gained through the Olive Mill garden or a short walk up the valley where there is a magical pool for swimming. It is a wonderful area for walking right outside the front door. The Italian Riviera and sandy beaches are only 15 minutes drive away. San Remo 20 minutes drive and Monaco 40 minutes. Local markets everyday of the week along the coast.

This traditional stone house has recently been renovated and offers modern facilities within an old building that originally was part of the olive mill. It is set along side the river Carpasio in the beautifully valley of the Aqua Santa nestling below the mountain village of Montalto. It has three floors. On the ground floor there is a hallway and a double bedroom with single beds and a seperate shower and toilet. On the first floor the slate stairs lead into a living room with an archway into the kitchen. Both rooms have a wonderful south facing view of the valley and the hilltop village of Montalto. The master bedroom on the top floor has a dressing room / landing and has a stunning view from the king sized bed. There is a large master bathroom on this floor. Outside adjacent to the river there is an enclosed garden with an open garden room ideal for alfresco meals. There is a most beautiful secluded pool just 10 minutes walk from the house.

San Remo 20 km. is an international resort with designer shops, an interesting old town with superb food market and a casino. Monte Carlo in the principality of Monaco is 1 hour away. The famous Hanbury Botanical Gardens near Ventimiglia are 50 minutes away. Markets are found every day of the week along the coastal towns from Imperia to Ventimiglia.
