North East Derbyshire holiday barn: Holmesfield, Dronfield

We booked the cottage last minute for New Years Eve and Andrew was very plesant to deal with and it was no hassle at all.
The cottage is lovely with plenty of parking space if you have a few cars. The hot tub, sauna and outdoor shower are excellent, incredibly clean and a really nice touch. The only downside about the outside area is the fact that there is no seating area or garden to speak of although there are plenty of fields surrounding it.

In terms of the living space, the cottage is incredibly well equipped particularly in terms of the kitchen, there was eveyrthing we needed to cook for a dinner party, plnety of cutlery, plates and pots and pans and I was very impressed. I was particul;arly pleased with the large dining table. In previous cottages that I have stayed in the kitchen facilities have paled in comparison.

The towels were all really nice and soft and new as was the bedding. The living area is really nice and spacious and plenty of room for 8 people to socilisise, it was one of the coldest weekedns of the year when we stayed but the cottage was very warm and cosy.

The only downside to the property is that you have to walk through each of the bedrooms to get to the other bedrooms and in teh other direction to get to the toilet. This wasn't a problem to us as we were a big party and it was like a sleep over but not ideal if you wanted a bit of privacy. Also beware to mind your head on the beams in the dark! We tended to keep our light on.

Overall if it wasnt for the bedroom arrangement and the lack of outside space I would say that the cottage was perfect. Even with those problems we all still thought it was excellent we woudl definately stay again and I woudl definately recommend it.
