Reception is open 24 hrs and all the staff speak excellent English and are very helpful. Reception offers currency exchange, airport transfers, taxi's, arrange baby sitting and cots / high chairs if required. There is also an Internet facility. Reception will attend to any problems regarding the property during you stay.
A range of shops are available next to the main entrance and comprise of, supermarket, gift shop, hairdressers & news agents.
The on-site restaurant 'A Varandah and the 'Club House' offer a good selection of food. During peak periods 2 of the pools operate snack bars.
Balaia has it's own Health Club complete with a heated swimming pool & spa, gym, steam & massage rooms. A small charge is payable to reception.
There are 4 all weather tennis courts. Tuition is available.
There are also 6 superb and immaculately maintained outdoor swimming pools, most having a shallow 'toddlers' area and all have sun beds & parasols free of charge.
This very well appointed apartment is set in a quiet part of the village complex, and is, as all the village, kept in immaculate condition within extremely well tended gardens & grounds. The apartment is light & spacious, with tiled floors throughout. The kitchen is fitted with high quality appliances & equipment. For your convenience there is a hair dryer, radio alarm clock, flat screen TV & DVD player, IPod docking station and a selection of books.
Surrounding Area
Albufeira is a lively & interesting town with plenty of bars, restaurants & clubs etc.
A short drive away there are cinemas showing English language films. Ten pin bowling, horse riding and other sports are available close by.
Further afield is Zoo Marine & the Algarve Zoo, both well worth a visit. Water parks are plentiful and great fun. There are many other activities available within a very short drive.
GOLF COURSE
Balaia golf course is often referred to as 'A Little Gem, & it is. The course is well presented with excellent Tees & Greens. Whilst it is only a par 3 course it will surely sharpen your short game. Play the course in par & you have done well.
Golf shoes with soft spikes are required, as well as the normal dress code. Handicap certificates are not required. The driving range is excellent as are the putting greens, chipping area & practice bunkers. Group and individual lessons are available from the golf academy.
The superb club house offers a Pro's shop, locker rooms, club & trolley hire as well as a restaurant & snack bar complete with terrace overlooking the first tee.
