Within a short distance of the village you can enjoy golf, yachting, hot springs and spas, national parks, plateaus, fishing, scuba diving, ballooning, wildlife parks, water skiing, water rafting, paragliding, caving and mountaineering. There are 11 Championship golf courses, including the Collin Montgomery and Nick Faldo courses within 20 minutes in Belek. This area of Turkey is rich in natural beauty and historical sites dating to the Roman and Greek times; Aspendos Amphitheatre is one of the best examples of Roman theatre construction in the world. The ruined city of Perge spreads over a vast area, dating to Greek origins, and is still being excavated. Side, is one of the best classical sites in Turkey, with an ancient harbour and pretty town. Antalya and Alanya have old towns and harbours. Local rivers produce a multitude of fantastic waterfalls, set within national parks and flowing into the sea. The ski resort of Saklikent is 90 minutes away and open from January to April.

The villa was beautiful, exactly as described, and exactly like the photos on the website. It was in excellent condition and on a fantastic complex. The complex was well maintained and the staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them.

The owners were also very helpful and arranged transfers to and from the airport for us as we didn't have a car.

Not having a car was not a problem as the staff at the complex took us and picked us up from where we wanted to go (for a fee) They also were very helpful in recommending places for us to visit so we got the most out of our stay.

During the stay we visited Side, which has roman ruins and lots of restaurants and shops, Belek which again has shops and several golf courses nearby and the ampitheatre at Aspendos. There is plenty to do in the area for those who want to get out and about, but the complex is also pleasant for those who just want to chill out and relax by the pool and eat in the restaurant there.

The complex has a hairdresser, masseur (very good) and a bar and restaurant which serves good food.

Other villa owners / renters who were there were also very friendly and offered advice about the best places to visit and to eat.

We would definitely recommend the villa to anybody looking for a villa holiday and are looking to go back again next year.

This spacious villa was perfect for our party of 2 adults & 4 teenagers.The facilities are excellent, & the kitchen was a big plus. The Village is just that, a village rather than a complex. The atmosphere is very friendly.
If you want to explore the area extensively then a car is an advantage. Side,Antalya,Alanya,Manavgat & Aspendos are all worth seeing. As we were there for 2 weeks we took the option of renting a car for £30 a day from Augustus Village, as & when we needed. That said, it is possible to catch the local buses which stop just 5 minutes walk away.
We would certainly return.

A fantastic villa in a peaceful spot. The villa was clean and beautifully furnished and we would definately recommend it for a relaxing holiday. The staff were very helpful but you need to be prepared to bargain with them on taxi fares!! The nearby town Side is great for shopping and we had a lovely meal in the restaurant Aphrodite. Aspendos is also a good afternoon trip as is the local Watersking place. We will definately be going back sometime soon but would recommend car hire if you want the independance of exploring the sights of Turkey more.

Great for a Family Vacation!!

We so enjoyed our time at Villa Laurus. It was perfect for my husband and me, our two small children, and my in-laws. There was plenty of space for all of us. The staff was very helpful We loved the fact that the house was child friendly and had activities and even movies for the kids. The kitchen is a huge plus. Laundry is also convenient. Our stay in Turkey lasted over two weeks.
