This exclusive 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment offers high standard accommodation to make you feel as comfortable as possible. There are two superb enclosed communal swimming pools equipped with umbrellas (excellent for children). The apartment benefits from full air conditioning and heating, there is a second bathroom with walk in shower, a large lounge/dining room and a well equipped luxury kitchen with cooker/hob, fridge freezer, microwave and washing machine etc. The spacious living room is tastefully decorated and has a dinning area for 6 people with a serving hatch from the adjoining kitchen and benefits from satellite TV, DVD player and a music centre with MP3. The south facing balcony with a table and 4chairs is accessible from the lounge. The apartment is surrounded by tropical communal gardens, has a private garage area with lift access, video entry-phone and wheelchair access throughout. The apartment is ideally located in Las Terrazas de Cármenes del Mar, a place known as 'The Tropic of Europe' which extends along the hillside of Cerro Gordo, a natural park with a great view point from which all that the sea is able to offer in this privileged corner of the Mediterranean becomes visible: clam and crystalline water, the green of the tropical cultivation going down the slopes, and waters that invites you to practice all kinds of water sports. The apartments are surrounded by tropical communal gardens, has a private garage area with lift access, video entry-phone and wheelchair access throughout. The apartment is just a 15 minute walk, 2 minute drive from a wide selection of bars, “chiringitos”, restaurants and shops in La Herradura town, not to mention the nearby variety of beaches on the surrounding coastline. A vehicle is recommended.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Saturday is the preferred change over day, although this is fully flexible if bookings allow. For the purposes of cleaning, tenant's may not be able to enter the apartment before 1 p.m. on the day of arrival and may have to leave on the day of departure by 11.00a.m. This is also flexible if bookings allow. Bed Linen and towels supplied. These are laundered at the end of the rental period - please bring own pool/beach towels.
    WE WELCOME ALL OUR TENANTS WITH A WELCOME BASKET THAT INCLUDES MILK, JUICE, WATER and WINE.

    Upon the booking confirmation we will email you a welcome pack with detailed information about the apartment (inventory and useful instructions) and the area ( useful telephone numbers, etc..)
  • BOOKING NOTES
    A 35% non-refundable deposit will be required for all bookings made over 2 months in advance, another 35% will be required 6 weeks before arrival and the full amount payable on arrival when we hang over the keys.
  • DEPOSIT
    There is a refundable damages deposit of £100 refunded within 2 weeks of departure or collected from the agent upon receipt of keys. Breakages or damages to the apartment must be replaced or notified to us by the Departure Date.

How to get there: From Malaga Airport take the N340 motor way towards Motril (be extra careful to take the correct turnoff as the sign for Motril is confusing), stay on the motor way all the way to La Herradura. From Granada, follow signs to Motril and Almuñecar. Go into the town until you approach the beach front, turn right at the end and follow the beach all the way to the end. Take the last turning on the right and go past the camp site which will be in front of you, follow the road up a steep hill until you get to the top and you will see the Carmenes Del Mar complex to your left.

What is the weather like: The Climate The area has a wonderful climate with average temperatures of around 18 degrees C in winter and 28 degrees C in summer. Exotic fruits like avocados, mangos, chirimoyas, kiwis, papaya, sugar cane, grapes, olives, oranges, lemons, cumquat and bananas grow well here.

Ski and golf details: The famous ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada Ski resort is approximately 90 minutes car drive away and the ski season runs from December - May (catering for all abilities). There are 4 golf courses within a half hour's drive of the apartment and a further 3 near Granada. All have very different characteristics and are both enjoyable and challenging. Rates are very good value compared to the western end of the coast. Courses tend to be less busy in the summer but can be tiring in the heat of the day.
