This rural mountain retreat, is situated up above Santa Cruz on a windey country lane. The property has stunning views looking down on on the coast of Santa Cruz and the sea to the Desertas Islands and the wooded valley in the other direction.This pretty house is in a peaceful location, and great for walkers, artists and writers yet only 10 minutes drive to the coast or 20 minutes to Funchal.

The exciting Aqua Park with the long and windey flumes is 10 minutes away in the São Pedro region of Santa Cruz. It has gentle rapids and fun play areas for the young and old alike, adjoining is a pool for the more serious swimmer. In Santana just 10 minutes in the opposite direction there is a Theme Park with a difference. The are rowing boats on a lake, climbing walls and acrobatic tramboline for the adventurous but also there are the most interesting interpretations of the history of Madeira from 3D shows to personal presentations. There are many levada walks on this eastern side of the Island which incorporate the outstanding beauty of the Island.
