Fontesasso is a large Villa style property with four bedrooms, two bathrooms and private swimming pool with fantastic mountain views. Six acres of land provide total privacy. There is ample space for outdoor barbecues and guests are free to take fruit from the many trees on the property. Fresh figs are available for most of the summer. The Apartment is self catering and has all mod cons including SKY TV, DVD and wireless internet connection. It is ideal for summer holiday rental and for winter skiing. Gualdo is a much sought after village amongst the many hilltop towns of Le Marche. We are only twenty minutes by car from the mountains and some forty minutes from the Adriatic coast at Porto San Giorgio. Gualdo has most main services including Bank, ATM, all food shops, two cafes and one restaurant.

Gualdo is near to the busy towns of Sarnano and San Ginesio. Ascoli Piceno is only one hour away by car. It is easy to reach towns in Tuscany and Umbria on a day trip by car and it is situated on the edge of the Sibillini National Park. We are four hours from Rome and/or Bologna and low cost airlines use both of these in addition to Ancona and Pescara. For Opera lovers the town of Macerata has a wonderful open air Opera house and in the summer nearby Piane di Falerone also offers opera al fresco. There are tennis courts for public use in Gualdo and San Ginesio and Le Marche has over 300 small theatres still in use. Most towns have a market day and these are very colourful with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables plus clothes and household items. Bars and restaurants are plentiful and advice is available. Wine tasting is on offer at many local wineries.

Facilities: There are a number of Ski resorts in this area. The nearest is close to Sarnano at Sassotetto. The seaside resorts offer water skiing and paragliding and it is possible to learn to hang glide from a venue just above Sarnano. There are a number of clearly identified walks in the area and details of all of these are available in the Apartment. There is a full size golf course near Ancona. The caves at Frassati are a must should you have a cloudy day.
