This is a fairly new, well equipped and nicely furnished apartment. There were only 2 minor problems; The single bed in the 3rd bedroom was a bit shaky and not well constructed, and the showers were none too clean. The owners are easy to work with and very helpful. The apartment is managed by Bozena, who we found helpful and accommodating.
The view from the roof terrace is simply spectacular. The terrace is huge, and with the 2 large daybeds and 2 sun beds it's easy for a family of 4 to take a comfortable power nap after a hard day at the beach!
It may be a good idea to keep an information booklet or similar in the apartment regarding transport (taxi boat & bus), restaurants, shopping, car rental etc. in the local area. One can always find this kind of information by oneself, but it saves time and makes the vacation more hassle-free if the info is already there.
If you are going to stay in the Okrug and Trogir area only you don't need a car. The taxi boat to/from Trogir runs every 30. min. all day. The nearest supermarket, bakery, cash point and post office is a 7 min. walk away, and the harbour and main beach in Okrug is an approx. 15-20 mins. walk. However, our biggest disappointment was the Okrug beach. Even in late June/early July it was ridiculously crowded and the water was turbid. Luckily, a mere 5 minute walk from apartment there is a small cove (on the Mavarcica side) which is much less crowded and the water is very clear. Even our two teenage girls preferred the cove to the main beach. If you want to venture further afield - i.e. to Primosten or Krka, you would need a car.
All things considered this is the best apartment rental we have ever stayed in and we would recommend it to others!
Owner's Response: Following on from this very helpful advice, we have addressed both issues relating to the bed and the cleaning. All guests receive a welcome pack with information on the local area prior to their arrival, however we are aware that we need to expand this.
