Peacefully set in the village of Arthog at the southern end of the Snowdonia National Park, at the foot of the Cader Idris, Arthog Hall Barns have stunning views of the Rhinog Mountains and are ideally positioned opposite the Mawddach Trail, giving access by foot, or bicycle to the famous Abermaw Bridge, Fairbourne Beach, Penmaenpool with its waterside pub and beyond to the market town of Dolgellau, from where the more ambitious can take advantage of the Coed y Brenin mountain biking trail. The wider area can be explored via the Cambrian coastal railway from nearby Morfa Mawddach Station linking to the national rail network at Machynlleth. The area has a wealth of bird watching, including the RSPB site at Penmaenpool, fishing and mountain walking, as well as close access to a number of beautiful beaches, the nearest being the unspoilt Fairbourne Beach (blue flag) two miles away. The Aberdovey and Royal St. Davids links golf courses are a twenty-minute drive away.

This property is in a fantastic location for a walking holiday. We found it to be the ideal base for Snowdon and Cader Idris. We walked for miles from this base and only had to drive to Llanberis in order to climb Snowdon. The drive took us about 50 minutes from this property.
The property itself has everything you need for your stay, it was clean, comfortable and the contact we had with the owner was favourable.
I would recommend this property to all travellers.
There was only one thing I could say is a negative but even that wasn't really so bad. There is a road right outside the property, which you cannot see from the photographs. Having said that it does not take anything away from the property and it isn't particularly busy so I wouldn't really worry about it.
All in all you won't go wrong staying here, the views are out of this world.
