Quinta do Lago, a unique holiday resort in the southern part of Portugal, is part of an internationally known nature reserve, the Parque Natural da Ria Formosa. Close to its beautiful lagoon and sand dunes where nature lovers will be able to watch flamingos, storks and other sea birds, Casa Isaida is a charming villa built and decorated in the typical local Portuguese style. The large garden is covered with pine trees and the pool is surrounded by a comfortable solarium with sun loungers and an outdoor dining area with BBQ. You are just a few minutes from the best golf courses in Europe including Quinta do Lago, Four Seasons, Pinheiros Altos etc as well as from several fantastic beaches with golden sand and warm sea water. This quiet property is only 5 minutes drive from the luxury Bougainvilla Plaza with its restaurants, supermarket, shops and 10 minutes from the neighbouring Almancil village. Quinta do Lago is a quiet and exclusive location. Away from crowded sea resorts, families will enjoy all types of water sports as well as horseback riding and tennis playing. Golf lovers will find themselves in one of the largest golf complexes in the Algarve which are also listed as one of the top best golf courses in Europe. Nature lovers can visit the Educational center of Ria Formosa Natural Reserve in Olhão. Tourist places worth visiting are for instance São Lourenço and its church covered with blue tiles ( azulejos ), Faro and its ancient Moorish urban center, Estoi with its Portuguese Palace and its Roman ruins etc. Seville, in Spain, or Lisbon are only 2 hours drive from Almancil via highways. Notes: Weekdays maiden service, speaking French, Portuguese and some English. A housekeeper manager ensures smooth running of all procedures in the house and garden and she also is the contact for incidental problems. Pool and beach towels not provided. A swimming poolkeeper comes twice a week for the maintenance . Beware the pool for children. Should be able to swim or be under constant control in order avoid dramatic accidents. You can find golf courses all along the Portuguese coastal region of Algarve, but Quinta do Lago in particular offers just by itself a wide variety of superb golf courses. This large Algarvian golf complex is often selected for national and international tournaments. The Quinta do Lago, São Lourenço, Pinheiros Altos are regularly listed as as one of the top 25 best golf courses in Europe... not even mentioning the beauty of the natural surroundings ( laguna, sand dunes, pine tree forest around ). It is weel distinguished by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators.

This is one of the first houses built in the little paradise called Quinta do Lago. Quiete, confortable, spacious with a wondefull garden and near the beach and golf courses. It's a dream come true...
We spent 15 marvellous days with our children and friends!
