Penthouse studio. Views of sea/mountains/old town. Huge terrace and rear (sunset) balcony. Air-conditioned and 'traversant' with windows front and back. Sleeps 2-3. Sixth and top floor, lift of course, with super views of the sea, the old town and the mountains. 5 min walk from Menton bus and train stations. Direct fast coach service from Nice airport to Menton. Frequent trains to Monaco, Nice and all of the coast to Cannes and beyond and to Italy in the other direction. Italy and Monaco both 10 minutes by rail. So, no need for a car. But free parking in the street. Very spacious since most furniture is fitted and the two beds fold away. Superb local market at the bottom of the road every morning. Beaches/town centre 10-15 min walk. ITALIANO Studio attico. Viste su mare/monti/citta vecchia. Terrazza enorme e balcone di diettro. Aria condizionata. Sesto ed ultima piano, ascensore. 5 min in piedi stazione ed autobus. Italia o Monaco 10 min sul treno. Piu in Italiano piu tarde.

Menton boasts the best climate in France. It is in France but sits between Monaco and Italy. Much smaller than Cannes or Nice the town is pretty upmarket but low key. Very good beaches, public and private, sand or pebble. Little traffic uses the promenade which is all cafes and restaurants directly above the beach. Monaco, 5 mins by train, famous for sport ( tennis, grand prix, soccer etc), culture/opera, the prince and family, millionaires harbour etc etc. Equally close is Italy and Ventimiglis/Bordighera beach resorts, Thus the Monaco marathon passes through 3 countries! The Alpes sweep down to the sea at Menton and shelter several exquisite 'perched' villages good for walks and seaview restaurants. Buses. More serious walking is possible from those villages.

  • We live in the mountains about an hour from Menton. So we would welcome you ourselves to hand over the keys and should you need us during your stay we are close ( we are retired ). A reservation deposit of some 40% of the rental (nominally £200) is requested. During your stay this becomes a security deposit and is returned at the end. The actual rent may be paid on arrival. The deposit is 100% refundable up to one month from the beginning of your reservation
  • 10 % REDUCTION FOR RETURNING GUESTS. 10% REDUCTION FOR SECOND AND SUBSEQUENT WEEKS

ITALIANO: Mentone ha la clima la migliore della Francia ! E molto piu piccolo che Nizza o Cannes una citta piu elegante ma piu moderato. Spiaggi eccelente, publiche e privati, sabbia o ciottoli. Possibile allogiare 2-3. Treni frequanti a Monaco, Nizza, Cannes. Parcheggiare gratuito nella via davanti. Appartamanto molto spazioza perche quasi tutti i mobili sono incorporati e i due letto sono pieghevolio. Mercato superbo in fonda alla via tutte le mattine. Spiagge e centro citta 10-15 minui in piedi. Villagi squisiti di montagna per caminare e ristoranti con vista di mare.
