Photos and Description of this Scottish Highlands & Islands holiday house Quietly situated 100 yards from Dornoch Square and 1/2 mile to the beach

Newly refurbished. Two downstairs twin bedrooms and two upstairs king bedrooms. Bathroom on each floor. The house is light and sunny. Spacious lounge with comfortable seating for 8 people. Separate sun room with table and chairs for playing cards, sketching etc. Wireless Broadband included. Fully equipped kitchen with dining area. However, self catering not necessary as there is a different eatery for every day of the week within 1/2 mile of the house! Separate laundry room with sink, washer, dryer and hanging space for drying golf and beach gear. Secure enclosed private garden with patio, tables and chairs. Additional lawned area for pitching practice and ball games. Off street parking for three cars. RDGC championship course 300 yards away. Golden-sanded beach 1/2 mile away with rock pools to explore and seals congregate on the sandbanks at low tide. There is a car park so you don't have to carry all your beach gear.

Dornoch is a historic Cathedral town overlooking the Dornoch Firth. Perfect centre for exploring the northern highlands, it has an excellent Tourist Office to help you with information. Local golf courses include Royal Dornoch and Struie. A short drive away are Tain, Golspie and Brora (a Braid course). Activities for non golfers include coastal, forest and mountain walks, bird and wildlife watching at Loch Fleet Nature reserve (5 miles), sea, river and loch fishing, Tennis courts, squash courts and bowls, whiskey distilleries, artists' studios throughout the region, Highland games in the summer, Dubrobin Castle (10 miles) tours and events, recitals at Dornoch Cathedral, indoor swimming pools at Embo (3 miles) and Golspie (8 miles). Good local bus services. Dornoch also has a grass airstrip available for light aircraft. Dornoch has a variety of cafes and restaurants, food shops, antique and stylish gift shops, historic buildings, Carnegie Library and Historylinks museum

Great time at The Glen

We had a really lovely holiday at The Glen. It was so nice to be able to walk to the beach, shops, restaurants and golf course without having to take the car. The house was immaculate when we arrived and really warm and comfortable for our extended family group - there were eight of in total and there was plenty of room. No complaints at all and we would definitely be happy to rent it again."

Brilliant property right in the heart of Dornoch. but with lovely private gardens. You can walk to the shops, the pubs, the restaurants, the beach and the golf course!
