Self-catering farmhouse sleeps six in Western Dordogne This very peaceful location is ideal for walking, carp fishing, bird watching or just relaxing. This three bedroom property is spacious and charming. In the lounge there is a wood burning stove adding to the country charm. The property is comfortably furnished to a height standard. The french doors open on to a covered patio and private garden with a large barbeque terrace. Here you can enjoy the peace and tranquility of alfresco dining. You are 7 k from Montpon on the rive L'isle where you can take a boat trip or hire a canoe. In Montpon you will find a hyper market and supermarket many bakeries, restaurant's, post office and on a Wednesday they have a local market. For the gourmet diner there is 'Auberge de L'Eclade in Menesterol, which is superb. The leisure lakes of Gurcon and Jermaye are approx 15k away, with there sandy beaches, are ideal for sunbathing, swimming and fishing, watersports, and crazy golf.

Bergerac airport is 40 mins away. Motorway links to Perigueux, Bordeaux,and Saint-Emillion can be accessed in Montpon. A visit to Saint-Emillion to enjoy some fine wine and superb restaurants is highly recommended. There are numerous Bastide towns in the area. Castillon stages a spectacular mock battle ending with a firework display during weekends in July & August. 15km North is La Roche Chalais where you can join the coast road to Royan and La Palmyre and the exciting Atlantic coast. Further a field is Arcachon. This boast the largest sand dune in Europe, and you can climb it too, they have put steps in to help, the views from the top are spectacular. There are numerous wonderful seafood restaurants and lovely beaches. Nearby is the bird sanctuary of Le Teich, both are about and hour and half away. On Friday's in Riberac there are one of the largest markets in the area, where you can can all local produce.

There is a large utility room where you can find the washing machine, freezer and two sinks. The large garage has space for two vehicles.
