Superb stone farmhouse set in a large south-west facing garden with terraces two barbecues, olive trees and huge floodlit pool with stunning views to the Cevennes. Two minutes walk to local boulangerie and superb restaurant. Nearest local town 3 miles.House in easy access to motorway several airports and beaches. Many historic towns such as Montpelier, Nimes and Uzes are nearby as well as superb restaurants catering for all budgets. For youngsters and adults there is lots to do such as canoeing, golf, walking, cycling and riding. 'Mas des Vignes' is not just a holiday let, it is a family home that has been superbly renovated incorporating a mixture of contemporary and traditional furnishings reflecting Provence. The house features a large sitting room with open fireplace, games room, dining room with open fireplace, making it an ideal retreat for summer and winter holidays. The principal bedroom with its dressing room and ensuite bathroom has wonderful views to the mountains.

Renovated 19th century stone farmhouse with large pool on the edge of the medieval village of Aigremont , within 3 miles of the small market town of Ledignan with everyday facitilites of bank; pharmacy and supermarket, doctor, dentist etc. Other notable nearby towns include Quissac and Sauve and there are several large good supermarkets for day to day nearby. Situated within the golden triangle of the historic towns of Nimes, Montpelier and Uzes (superb Saturday market), all offering interesting shops, good restaurants and cultural attractions . Easy access to motorway network (approx 30 min) and excellent, sandy beaches at Palavas near Montpelier as well as Les Espigettes and Le Roi de Grau in the Camargue, close to the nature reserves and historic town of Aigues Mortes. Excellent wines from the region with the highest concentration of vineyards in the world. Other nearby towns of interest include Sommieres, Arles; Avignon and Orange.

Notes: The pool is open at the beginning of May. It is checked and cleaned twice a week and requires no maintenance. In accordance with French law, it has an immersion alarm system installed complying with Government regulations. In addition, there are security railings with self closing gates across the garden effectively cutting off the house the from pool area. There is a large terrace around the pool with an attractive stone wall on three sides and a pool sun shelter. There is further terracing around the side and front of house with flowerbeds of lavender and rosemary. There are two barbecues, one traditional charcoal and one with gas. The garden area around the pool terrace has maturing olive trees; fruit trees Italian pines and Oleander flowering shrubs. Beyond this, on a higher level is an area of garden. At the side of the house there is an outhouse for the pool pump, etc and log shed. There is a parking for two cars and safe parking on the road.

Caretaker: A local English speaking caretaker will meet guests on arrival, show them the house and explain where everything is. On booking, we supply guests with a fully comprehensive information book giving details on where to go and what to do in emergencies etc. The details of the caretaker are in the he book in case of emergencies. The gardener will come in twice a week to do the garden and pool.

Security: The house has security grills and security system. There are shutters too. The caretaker will show guests how to use the alarm system to the house and safety alarm system to the pool on arrival.

Round and About: Next to the garden is a footpath which crosses the vines. The surrounding area is wonderful for walking and cycling. Anduze which is only 20 minutes away is known as the gateway to the Cevennes Mountains. This is a superb area for keen walkers and canoeists. From Anduze there is a steam train running from April - November up to St Jean du Gard in the Cevennes. For those keen on wildlife and birdlife, there are nature reserves in the Camargue. Beaches are to be found down on the Camargue. Le Roi de Grau and Les Espigettes are safe and sandy and, the latter is considered as one of the best beaches in France. The town of Aigue Mortes nearby is well worth a visit. For a beach closer to home, visit Palavas near Montpelier. Golfers can visit a number of courses around Nimes, Uzes and Montpelier. Riding: There is an equestrian centre outside Ledignan about 4 miles from the house. There is tennis at Quissac. Scooter and bikes can be hired in St Jean du Gard.
