A chance to live the 17th-century dream overlooking the most beautiful gardens in Montpellier. The property (not suitable for children under 14) has been entirely refurbished to the highest standards, featuring en-suite bathrooms, a large drawing room and a dining-room, with exquisite antique and modern furnishings. Situated in the most elegant part of the city, you are in a pedestrian zone where everything is within a short walking distance - theatres, monuments, restaurants and shops are on your doorstep. Being south-facing, the entire spacious apartment is bathed in sunlight, with uninterrupted views. At night-time, all the reception rooms can be candlelit, for an atmospheric dinner-party. One bedroom features a large double bed; the other has two singles which can be joined to make one kingsize bed. (Please advise us of your preference on booking.) The library has a sofa-bed offering private sleeping accommodation for one additional guest. Simply perfect for romantic weekends.

MONTPELLIER is one of the most exquisite small cities in France, with narrow winding Medieval streets paved in white marble. It is also highly cultured, featuring opera houses, theatres, concert halls, museums and a very respected university. Because the weather is fine throughout the year, it is an ideal destination for winter weekends, thanks to direct flights from London twice daily, with a journey time of just 90 minutes. There are beaches and resorts a few minutes' drive away. PLACE DE LA CANOURGUE: Canorgua is the Occitan name for the wetland region, the Camargue, which borders the city to the east. This delightful 17th-century square of box-hedge topiary and hackberry trees, flanked by perfect classical facades, is the most elegant in the city. On the south side the former Court House of 1760 occupies the site of a Maguelone monastery. At one end is a baroque unicorn fountain, sculpted by Etienne d’Antoine, whose Three Graces statue dominates the Place de la Comedie.

Delightful chic and elegant apartment. Very well equipped and spacious. super place to come back to and relax after a day sampling thedelights of the city and its surroundings.
The owner was most helpful in providing all info. necessary. Numerous excellent restaurants, from 2star Michelin Les Jardin des Sens to Le Petit Jardin. etc.
No hesitation in eecommending this apartment to our friends. However not suitable for infirm people due to the 2 flights of steep stairs up to the apart.
All in all a truly french urban experience! Formidable! here's to our next visit!
