Hill House is an 18th Century townhouse set in the picturesque village of Templecombe, Somerset. The Georgian property features a large private garden surrounded by a 12ft stone wall – only overlooked by the spire of a nearby church, reminding you of the hours slipping away - total privacy. The garden is well maintained and home to range of colourful borders in summer. There is a large patio situated under a large beach tree which you may like to gain access to via the french doors which divide the drawing room with the garden. The house has a large kitchen with Aga and stove, a sitting and dining room downstairs – both have open fireplaces, typical period features and are beautifully furnished. The first floor is home to 5 bedrooms. The second floor, a further two in the recently converted attic space.

Although the house is situated in the centre of the village, it is protected by a 12ft wall surrounding the perimeter of the property to ensure complete privacy.

Although the property is not overlooked, there are plenty of facilities to keep visitors more than content - all of which are accessible using whichever mode of transport you decide. Visitors are within walking distance of bread, milk and Sunday newspapers, all available in the immediate area. The surrounding countryside will overwhelm anyone interested in going of a walk. There are plenty of marked routes to choose from. A stone’s throw from the house is the village’s train station which allows visitors to access Sherborne in a little over 5 minutes. Sherborne provides a host of bustling restaurants, pubs and pretty gift shops. Situated 5 miles from the house is Wincanton Racecourse which boasts 17 fixtures of quality jump racing between October and May. Nearby, Holbrook House can be found, set in seventeen acres of beautiful parkland and gardens. It boasts an award winning restaurant and a fully equipped Spa too.
